Vocation Group Hears
Of Dominicans' Life
Sister Joseph Andrew, OP, vocation directress for the
Dominicans of St. Cecilia, Nashville, Tenn., spoke on
choosing a religious vocation when the recently-formed
Atlanta Vocation Support Group held a program and
potluck lunch at Sacred Heart Church.
After a videotape showing life at the Dominican
community, Sister Joseph Andrew and her companion,
Sister Mary Angela, OP, novice mistress, led a group
discussion. Several members of the support group shared
experiences which led them to consider the religious life.
Father James Murray, of Sacred Heart, spiritual
director of the group, and Father Edward Thein,
archdiocesan vocation director, were present.
Future activities planned by the Vocation Group will
include days of recollection, trips to visit religious
communities, talks by members of various orders, and a
newsletter to keep members current on activities of
interest.
Next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 at 11
a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Persons seeking more
information can contact Peggy Grannan, 961-2360; Craig
Hosch, 972-0312, or Carol Goodson, 451-0331, ext. 280.
