The St.Vincent dePaul Society of St. Lawrence parish,
Lawrenceville, has been given a house to use as an
emergency shelter for the poor. The dwelling was given to
the parish society by a Lawrenceville developer and must
be moved. Now the need is for a plot of ground on which to
relocate the building. “We pray that the Holy Spirit will in
spire someone to come forward and donate land so that peo
ple will not have to be turned away to sleep in cars or on the
streets. For after all are we not our brother’s keeper?” asks
Frances Manchester in her comment to the Georgia
Bulletin. She expresses the hope that some caring person
will donate land so that the need for an emergency shelter
in Gwinnett County will be met. She can be reached at
962-1063, or at 1055 Johnson Road, Lawrenceville, 30245.
