St Joseph’s Church in Marietta will celebrate the birthday and
25th anniversary as parish secretary of Ruth Cavallo with a
special Mass and reception beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sat., July 21.

St Ann’s JOB NETWORK meets Tuesday evening between
8 and 10 in the education wing of the church, 4905 Roswell
Road in Marietta. The network provides practical help and

The Church of St. Ann in Marietta provides a special ministry
to the hearing-impaired during the 8:45 Mass Sunday mornings.
The entire liturgy, including hymns, is interpreted for the deaf.
All are most welcome.
A training session for parish AIDS ministry coordina
tors is planned for August by the Archdiocesan AIDS
Task Force. The session will assist parish AIDS ministers
in their function as resource persons forPWAs and their
families as well as help them implement AIDS-related
education and outreach programs. Register for this needed

A concert of CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN MUSIC will
be held at Transfiguration Church in Marietta Fri., July 27 at
7:30 pm. The concert will feature vocalist Susan Speer, known
for her album “Looking for the Light” and top single “Where
There’s Hope.” The concert is free and open to the public. A
love offering will be taken up and child care will be provided.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4300 King Springs
Road, Smyrna, will hold a HEALING MASS at 6 pm.,
Sun., Aug. 5 A special invitation is extended to anyone in
need of prayer for physical or emotional healing or
because of difficult life circumstances. Individual prayer
for healing will follow the Mass. To reach the church
from 1-285, take South Cobb Drive north approximately
three miles, turn left on King Springs Road and travel
about one mile.
SPONSORS AND VOLUNTEERS are needed for refugee
families. Also clothing, furniture, appliances and other donated
items are needed. Pick-up provided. To donate or volunteer, call

WOMEN AS PARTNERS m the Church, will meet Sat., July
28 from 10 am. to noon in Christ the King Church Library,
2699 Peachtree Road. The reflection group will discuss the
second draft of the U.S. bishops’ pastoral on women, “One in
Christ Jesus: A Pastoral Response.” Interested women in the
archdiocese are invited.

The annual CORPUS CHRISTI PARISH PICNIC will be held
on July 29 beginning with 11:30 am. Mass. Everyone is invited.
Bring food or purchase food at the event. Fun for everyone, the
young and not so young. Games galore! Cake walk, pony rides,
relay races, water balloon toss, bingo, watermelon and pie eating
contests, dunk tank and horseshoes.
The CONTINENTAL SINGERS, a Christian music ministry
of young people who have toured throughout the world, will
perform at Corpus Christi Church, 600 Mountain View Drive in
Stone Mountain, Sun., Aug. 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. No
admission fee; voluntary offering will be taken. The public is
