STUDENTS THINKING. The idea of Freshman Week was quite uniquely carried out, if one may judge from the oral and writ ten reports made by the various freshmen. It is believed that they were given an insight into the true Spelman spirit as well as an initia tion into the joys and sorrows of college life. Their individual ideals of the “Fresman Girl v are already being realized, and their wonderful dreams of college life are beginning to come true. * * * * Are all classes organized? The freshmen are! “Three cheers for the freshmen!” * * * * Our “Extra Curricular Activi ties” are organizing again. Press Club, Literary Club, Y. W. C. A. and Glee Club. All take a solemn vow to make this year the best yet iri their respective histories! We are delighted to see our new chapel nearing completion and are eagerly waiting untiFthe day when we may assemble within its walls. The new fountain also is almost completed. This is a source of joy to all because we are' now drinking cold water to our heart’s content. * * * * What is soccer? Ask even a freshman and I daresay she will give you a correct explanation of the game. At present, it is the game of the season; full of life, fun and pep. Let’s go in for sports as never before, take our share, and drink deeply of the benefits. * * * * What's the matter with Spel man? She’s all right! Advancing a step further than last year, she takes second prize at the South eastern Fair. Let’s try to reach the troal next vear; it takes only one step more. * * * * * Do we know our new faculty members ? We have had several chances to know them. If not in their respective classes, we may have become acuainted with them at socials. See this number of the “Campus Mirror” for a written in troduction to them. * * * * Opening Day at Spelman for 1926-27 was one of the most beau tiful ever witnessed. The spirit and atmosphere of the devotional services were uplifting, and cul tural in every respect. FACULTY MEMBERS We are glad to welcome our new faculty members.
