Letters to the Editor
Dear Editor:
I’m a young Black male twenty-
two years old, presently incarcer
ated in Lucasville, Ohio. Since my
confinement I’ve had very little
contact with the outside world. I
am hoping for correspondence
with anyone who might want to
correspond with a young man in
prison. I would like to thank you
for your much needed time and
effort in compliance. I really
appreciate it.
Dear Editor,
Prison is a heavy burden and a
lonely one, particularly when you
lack the therapeutic touch of com
munication with caring friends. As
a first time offender, I lack this.
In short, I am writing this letter
in hopes that you will publish it
and thereby open the doors to new
friendships.
In closing, let me emphasize that
any and all who care enough to
write will be answered.
Dear Editor:
I am a Black male presently
incarcerated at the Ohio State
Penitentiary, and since my con
finement I’ve had very little contact
with the outside world. I would
appreciate correspondence with
anyone who cares to write me. All
letters are welcomed. Please write.

Do not hesitate to ask an instructor
specific questions. For example, does he hold
you responsible for dates, names, places, etc.?
These are legitimate questions and most instruc
tors are quite willing and even pleased to help
a student if that student is really trying."
