joins Dark & Lovely in
fight against breast
cancer among African
American women

announcing a major grass roots
breast cancer awareness and early
detection program spear-headed by
Dark & Lovely No-Lye relaxer
system. During the press conference
Muley announced that between
October 2 through December 31,
1996 a percentage of the sales of all
Dark & Lovely relaxer and Hair
Color kits will help fight breast
cancer among African American
women. The Dark & Lovely
Celebrating Life Breast Cancer
Awareness Program will be imple
mented nationally through six
African American female
organizations. The National Council
of Negro Women/ The Coalition of
100 Black Women of America, Alpha
Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta,
Sigma Gamma Rho and Zeta Phi
Beta sororities.
