t t This Week's Highlights COMEDY TONIGHT-July 7th. Returns to Georgia Public Television with host Whoopi Goldberg. Each show features three top-notch comedians and all were taped live at San Francisco's Great American Music Hall. Whoopi kicks off each show with a monologue. Ellen DeGeneres, Michael Meehan and Willie Tyler will be featured in the premiere installment. "Comedy Tonight" will air Thursdays at 7:00 PM and 11:30 PM and is running for five weeks. BANANALAND-July 7th—24th. The world's first Central American theme park at Seven Stages Theatre. Video, music, film, performance, exhibits and poetry are used to portray the history of the United States' involvement in Central America. Installations of 12 Atlanta visual artists will be on display during the run of the play. Showtimes are Thursdays at 8:00 PM, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and Sundays at 5:00 PM. The series opens July 8th with a selection of Atlanta films including Gary Moss's "Summer of Love;" "What Will Monday Bring?," a short documentary by Jep Morgan about 10th Street hippies; and super 8MM films of rock and roll bands in Piedmont Park. The series continues on July 14th with "The Hippie Temptation," a 1967 CBS news documentary narrated by Harry Reasoner.
