a gay rights ordinance. Anita Bryant's crusade to
rescind it was one of the first highly publicized
confrontations between gays and lesbians and the
religious right.

• "The AIDS Trilogy." "Man With a Gun," by Jim Grimsley, opening performance, January 12th, part of "The
Subject is AIDS" experience; "Body to Body," by Rebecca Ranson, opens January 13th and deals with women and babies
with the AIDS virus; "Friday's Thanksgiving," by Bill Bagwell, completes the trio and opens January 14th. The three plays
were written in conjunction with SAME by 3 playwrights renouned for their work with AIDS drama. Nexus Theater.

• 4th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. January 16th. Jesse Jackson is Grand Marshall. It's 1.4 miles
beginning at Peachtree and ending at Auburn Avenue. On hand is the TV cast from "21 Jump Street." Floats and bands
from local universities and colleges are expected, and high school bands as well. MACGLO plans to participate and all gays
and lesbians are urged to march with them. Gather at the comer of Peachtree & Houston streets by noon. Call 242-2342 for
