AFRI-COBA: A TWENTY YEAR HIS
TORY. Thurs., July 26 (Opening reception 5-
8pm) - Fri., Aug. 31; Mon.-Fri. 1 lam - 5pm. An
exhibit of 45 pieces from the collective of black
artists formed in Chicago in 1968. Bold brilliant
colors and powerful engaging images focus on
the positive characteristics of African heritage

FAITH RINGGOLD: A 25 YEAR SURVEY.
Opens Fri., July 27. 50 works by the feminist
artist whose work has closely mirrored the
struggles of the black power movement. In
addition to her fabric art, paintings and soft

listen to these paintings as Jerome translates
