AGAINST THE TIDE: HOMOEROTIC
ART IN THE AGE OF CENSORSHIP AND

lesbians and male bonding are sprinkled liberally
in this exhibition that deal specifically with
sexual politics, gender identity, and the impact
of AIDS. Definitely funded without Jesse’s help.

WOMEN & AIDS DEMONSTRATION AT
THE CDC. Mon. Dec. 3. The role of women in
the AIDS epidemic has been overlooked by the
public and the government, putting women at
unnecessary risk from lack of information. De
mand attention be focused on all segments of the

SCLC WOMEN/WORLD AIDS DAY. Noon,
Sat., Dec. 1. The Southern Christian Leadership
Conference takes a big step in the right direction
as the focus moves to women and AIDS. Bill
Campbell will speak and there will be special
testimonies of PWA’s followed by acandle light

WORLD AIDS DAY UNITY RALLY AND
MARCH. Sat. Dec. 1, Unity Rally at 3pm;
march from Morris Brown to Woodruff Park,
3:30; Rev. Joseph Lowery and long term AIDS
surviviors will speak followed by a Candlelight
Ceremony in Woodruff Park at 4:45. Make a
difference with your presence as Atlantans join
together to march with their sisters and brothers
•cross the world. Working together we can quell
the transmission of HIV and provide care and
treatment for persons living with AIDS. The
march and rally offer a rare chance for all who
are concerned about AIDS to demonstrate that
concern to each other and the larger world.

ence and health fair for HIV and AIDS-related
services. The number of women with AIDS has
increased 75% since 1987. They can no longer
