GET OLD. Photographer
Marvin Rhodes was hired to
shoot photos of people in a
nursing home to produce a
brochure. The nursing home
rejected the photos, using
elderly “models” instead to
complete the project. In
Atlanta, several galleries
have refused to exhibit the
photos. Although consid
ered some of his best work,
the photos force us to
consider our own vulner
ability and to look at our
neglect of the elderly. The
exhibit opens tonight at The
First Existentialist
Congregation and will be on
