Can A Homosexual
Be A Christian?
REV. JOHN GILL
Of course! “Of Course,*" you say, "What about the
scriptures?" What about the scriptures? Let’s take some
time to briefly examine what the Bible does and does
not say about homosexuality.
In Genesis 19:1-28 we read of the destruction of the
twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. According to many
people and churches, these cities were destroyed because
of the sin of homosexuality. Read Jeremiah 23:14 and
Ezekiel 16:49-50 and you will discover the real reasons
j»3or God’s rath was felt due to the fact that He could not
find ten religious people in Sodom - homosexuals or
heterosexuals.
Other references in the Old Testament concerning
homosexuality fall into the category labelled Mosaic
Law. This law was often economic and political in orien
tation and not theological. The small group of Hebrews
fighting for their very existence were forbidden to engage
in any acts which was non-procreative n in nature. This
situation lead to a political and economic condemnation
of homosexuality. Times change and so do taboos if we
are wise enough to learn and accept.
’aul’s discussion of homosexuality in the New Testa
ment focuses on two areas. In Romans 1:26 and 27 Paul
speaks of changing sexual behavior and condemns not
hon osexuality, but those who are homosexuals striving
tc force a change in their orientation. Read carefully
anc you will discover that he is speaking out against
pas on and lust be it homosexual or heterosexual.
F ally, is it not significant that no where in the four
Go, 3ls does Christ condemn the homosexual man or
wo n. I am not saved by the blood of Moses or Paul -
I ai saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.

DEAR LUV LEE
Dear Luv Lee,
I have tis problem,
I’m 25 years old and my
parents don’t know that I
am gay . I am afraid that
they find out. They always
try to introduce me to
women and have let me
know that they want some
Grandchildren. Since this
is impossible, what
should I do?
Unhappy
Qear Unhappy,
Yours is a very com
mon problem shared I’m
sure, by many of our
readers. My personal ad
vice is to try to enligh
ten your parents on the
subject of Homosexuality.
Perhaps if you mention
ed that a good friend of
yours is Gay, you would
see their reaction and
be able to
take it from there. Have
an open discussion on the
matter. Don’t give your
self away immediately.
Try to liberalize their
four Gay Attitude
By: Jose Gaye
You’ve got to start be
lieving in yourself now. And
you can do it, right in your
own home, in the chair where
you are now sitting. You can
start to believe in yourself,
to appreciate yourself. And
the moment you start to be
lieve in yourself, you be
gin to put into motion the
elements that will uplift your
experience. You become
more confident and more
aware of your abilities. You
realize you can do the things
you want to do. All you have
to do is start.
Mind power is the key to
your success. Your mind can
do anything you want it to
do. You can start learning
what motivates you and oth
ers. Start feeding your mind,
filling it with strong posi-
attitudes. Parential love
is a very strong percen-
attitudes. Parential love
is a very strong thing.
From past experience
I can assure you that the
largest percentage of the
time it wins out. You will
know when to open your
heart to them. Just be'
patient and don’t jump
the gun. I hope this will
help you, Good Luck.
Love Lee.
Dear Luv Lee,
I believe that I am in
fatuated with an older
person. I may even be
falling in love with him.
I am 30, and he is in his
40s. This is very unsuaul
for me because my pre
ference has always been
for chickens. If I con
tinue the friendship with
this person, I know it
means security for me
but I’m not sure whether
I am ready to sacrifice
my freedom. Please offer
any advice you can.
Chicken * ‘Queen’ ’
Dear Chicken Queen,
I really don’t think you
have a problem. If you
feel that you are truly
falling in love with this
older person, things will
fall into place, given a
little time. There really
isn’t much difference in
your ages, though I do
understand your prefe
rence for younger men.
Ask yourself this - Is
your freedom more im
portant than your secu
rity? This is something
that only you can deter
mine. In any event, I
hope that you can work
things out between the two
of you. Remember one
thing -'- You’re not get
ting any younger. Good
Luck to you both.

Electric Cars?
Did you read about the man
who invented that new electric
car? For five dollars worth of
electricity you can drive from
San Francisco to Washington,
D.C. But there’s only one hitch -
the extension cord costs $5,000!
tive ideas, and your mind
will work for you instead
of against you.
Stop wasting your time
thinking of things that can’t
be done or how lousy your
life is. Start thinking of
what you want out of life
and get busy getting it. If
you want to move to a more
liberal community like Los
Angeles or New York to be
around liberated gays, start
thinking about it and plan
ning it. If you live in an
area where there are few
gays, move to where there
are more gays.
Atlantis Motorcycle Club A
"Groovy” Civic Minded Club
It was not until I recen
tly met and interviewed the
President of the Atlantis
Motorcycle Club, that I
changed my opinion about
"bike groups." Perhaps it
was because the movies have
always depicted bike riders
as being violent people who
display rough and tough
characters "doing their own
thing” regardless of how
gross it may be, or whom
they may injure in brawls,
that caused me to have a
very unfavorable attitude
towards most motorcycle
riders. And then on the other
hand, what is really wrong
with "doing your own thing"
We found the President to
be a true professional in his
field and eager to answer
any questions pertaining to
the club."
We learned that the At
lantis M.C., named for "City
rising from ashes," is but
one of the ninety-seven gay
motorcycle clubs in the U.S.
The club was formed in April
of 1973 and now has seven
teen active members from
various professions. The
only requirements, we were
told, is to be of legal age,
be able to ride a bike.....
and enjoy the levi, leather
and Western scene. They
meet weekly to "sup a few
suds" and discuss their bu
siness activities, etc.
Recently members of the
AMC sponsored "toys for
tots" for the underpriviled-
ged children of Atlant x,
just one of their many wor
thwhile projects, and col
lected seven car loads of
toys, and $235.00 in cash.
I can bet these kids had a
Merry Christmas; our
thanks to AMC.
“THE TWO-FACED DOOR“
By: Nicholas Cappetta
Silently watching, war after war,
Guarding the Court, is the two-faced door.
Simple it is, to enter the two-faced door,
But to exit, requires much, much more.
For, although she swings, in and out,
To exit, requires quite a bout.
Even if you win, you have lost,
For money, health or sanity, is your cost.
Strange it is, this two-faced door,
For it appears the same, from core to core.
But within, an array of weapons there are,
And an escape to freedom, they will bar.
The two-faced door, you had better beware!
Approach it with caution, respect, and extreme care.
For, if a debt to society, you should owe,
The two-faced door, she will know,
And open for you, she will not,
If a judgment against you, the jury should allot.
