Junior Hadassah
Augusta, Ga.
A special meeting of the Augusta
unit of Junior Hadassah was held
March 1st, which was attended by
Seniors, Juniors and invited guests.
Miss Mary Frank, of Chattanooga,
Southern Region President of Jun
ior Hadassah, was the guest speaker
of the occasion. She gave a brief,
interesting talk, explaining the mean
ing and two-fold purpose of Hadas
sah; the wonderful work the Juniors
are doing in maintaining Meier Shfe-
yah, and the Nurses Training School
in Palestine, to which they contribute
$47,000.00 annually.
The latest project which Hadassah
is undertaking is The Cultural Fel
lowship. To it will be admitted only
those members who have attained the
required knowledge of basic Jewish
studies. The Hebrew-Letter pin, des
ignating admission will be presented
at the Annual Convention by people
prominent in Jewish scholarship.
“Junior Hadassah,” said Miss
Frank, “is ideal like the stars. We
will reach our destiny if we’ll let
them guide us. We must give un
selfishly and then we will reap the
benefit .Junior Hadassah has to give
us.”
After the meeting a delightful tea
was held for Miss Frank.
Miss Mary Frank, of Chattanooga,
was the house guest of Miss Sylvia
Tenenbaum.
Benjamin J. Massell Added
To Board of Hebrew
Orphans Home
Mr. Ben. J. Massell was elected to
the local board of the Hebrew Or
phan’s Home at the last General
Board Meeting, held in February.
The officers of the local board of
the Hebrew Orphan’s Home consists

Junior Hadassah, of Atlanta, enter
tained its members with a Bohemian
tea on March 15.
