The Southern Israelite
More Southern Children are
brought up on Merita Bread
than any other Bread
Every woman knows that bread made with
milk has a richer flavor and silkier texture and
is a more wholesome and more nutritious food.
No wonder more Southern children are being
brought up on Merita bread than any other brand
for Merita is made with milk, and, after compar
ing it with other breads, more Southern mothers
buy Merita than any other kind.
You, too, can give your children the healthful
benefits of a really better bread. Join the million
women who every week
express their preference
for Merita. At your gro
cer’s fresh every day.

YOUNG JUDAEA
(Continued From Page 7)
A Message From Southern Interstate!
Young Judaea trains boys and girls to
be better men and women. It offers them
something to occupy their time outside
of school. It makes them conscious of
their Judaism. It gives them the oppor
tunity to learn of their Golden Heritage.
It affords them the chance to discuss and
learn about the present-day Jewish prob
lems. Above all, it trains them to be the
leaders of tomorrow.
Young Judaea is not a religious organi
zation. It is purely a Jewish Youth
Movement which is interested in any and
everything pertaining to Judaism.
The purpose of Young Judaea Month is
to offer the chance to the city at large
to witness some of their accomplish
ments. On March 1st Atlanta will in
augurate its Young Judaean Month. At
the same time, every Young Judaean city
in the South will be doing likewise.
Young Judaea is managed by its own
members, and is self-supporting. It has
always tried to cooperate with the com
munity as much as possible. Now Young
Judaea is asking the community to co
operate with it. No! They are not mak
ing an appeal; all they ask the commu
nity is to encourage Young Judaeans by
giving these affairs their whole-hearted
supix>rt. Make these youngsters feel that
their parents really appreciate the work
of Young Judaea. Young Judaean Month
is not a money-making event. It is only
Young Judaea’s debut to the city, and if
there is a nominal admission fee to any
of the affairs, it is only to cover the
expenses. Be on hand to applaud the
efforts of these boys and girls who have
tried hard to make these affairs a success.
Young Judaea Month is not for Young
Judaeans; it is for you.
I wish to take this opportunity of ex
tending greetings to all Young Judaeans
throughout the city, and to wish the
Atlanta Council much success in its un
dertakings. JOSEPH CUBA,
President, Southern Interstate Young
Judaea.

Young Judaea Creed
I will be loyal to America and devot
ed to the Jewish people.
I will keep a healthy mind in a
healthy body.
I will learn all I can about my people:
its history, the Hebrew language and
literature, its customs and traditions,
its hopes and aspirations for the fu
ture.
I will always be true to the ancient
idal of the study of Torah for its own
sake.
I firmly believe that the restoration
of the Jewish homeland in Palestine,
ideal that the Jewish people must ful
fill. I consider it my solemn duty to
Eretz Yisroel, is the highest practical
learn all I can about the land and its
problems, and to render the fullest
measure of service towards its restora
tion.
I am proud of my heritage and tradi
tions. I will aim to live as a Jew in
the home, synagogue and street.
I will serve my club, my community,
my country and my nation, and I
always be ready to help in all thing*
Jewish.—(Taken from Young Judac.:
