And tin* same old rule of (‘(minion sense also dictates
use of the street cars when you enter the downtown area
no matter what mission brings you to the region of
traffic jams, policemen, blue tickets, yellow curbs and
no-parking signs.
If you have been driving down to work in the morn

average of $10,000 per person. ’
David Ben Gurion, recognized a<
the most influential labor leader of
Palestine, declared that the Palestine
Administration is systematically boy
cotting Jewish labor when distribut
ing patronage on public works. He
also criticized Dr. Weizmann’s views
that the MacDonald letter rights the
wrong done by the Passfield White
Paper, concluding his address with the
cry: “MacDonald’s letter does not
bring even a single ray of light to
the Jews!”
I had occasion to discuss with Dr,
Weizmann, in an exclusive interview
his plans for the future. My impres
sion is that Dr. Weizmann will per
mit himself to be drafted for re-elec-
tion if the demand is strong enough.
The leader of Zionism is firmly con
vinced that there is no one else among
the Zionist leaders who could accom
plish successfully the political ami
economic task that will confront the
Zionist Organization in the future.
While stressing that he feels physi
cally tired, Dr. Weizmann also made
it clear that under no circumstances
will he retire temporarily. “If I go,
I will not come back,” he concluded.
The “if” is rather significant.
It also became known that Felix
M. Warburg and Dr. Cyrus Adler ca
bled to Dr. Weizmann that they wish
to share responsibility with him in
the conduct and results of his negotia
tions with the MacDonald Govern
ment. The cable praises Weizmann s
achievement as the best obtainable
under the circumstances.
