THE SOUTHERN ISRAELITE

To the Jewish Community of oAtldntd, Georgia
Wi\ the undersigned, on the occasion of the Holiday Season,
are glad to exercise in this manner the privilege of extend
ing to the Jewish Community our greetings. 1 he past year
has witnessed the tearing down of some of the barriers that
separated sections of the community and prevented the har
monious planning for the great good of American institu
tions. The past year has heard the sturdy voices of men in
responsible positions of governmental authority, as well as
of men in the forefront of church leadership, and all these
voices have urged the need for better and deeper under
standing for a new kind of tolerance that recognizes the
great good that each individual can contribute to the future
America. And it is the spirit of what has already been
achieved that we look forward to the coming year for even
greater manifestation of the spirit of brotherhood and under
standing.
