Emory University
With an increased participation in va
rious activities, the Jewish students at
Emory University have won more hon
ors and recognition during the 1931-32
term than ever before. In scholarship,
journalism, athletics, dramatics, politics
and music, Jewish students have been
outstanding.
Simon Wender was awarded a scholar
ship to the Emory Uni
versity senior college
for his outstanding
scholastic record in the
junior college, accord
ing to a recent an
nouncement by l)r. G.
W. White, dean of
Emory. Wender made
a perfect “A” record
for his two years’
work at Emory.
Alpha Epsilon Upsilon, Junior college
honorary scholastic society, recently
elected to membership Nathan Gershon,
Burton Lichenstein, Melvin Pazol and
Isidore Hoffman. Present members al
ready include Joseph Glazer, Simon
Wender, David Goldstein, Nathan Yagol
and Herman Kraar. Other students on
the honor roll include Annette Geffen,
Leah Dechovitz, Boris Whiteman, Sigo
Mendel and Harry Kudin. The Alpha
Epsilon Pi fraternity, winners of the
scholarship cup last year, led all Greek
letter fraternities on the campus in
scholarship during the fall quarter.
