Atlanta
A tea-dance and a program featuring
Rabbi Abraham Shustcrman, of Athens,
was sponsored by the Atlanta Chapter
No. 134 of the Aleph Zadik Aleph of the
B’nai B’rith at the Jewish Educational
Alliance in celebration of its third an
niversary.
Members of the Georgia B’nai B’rith
conference and of the Birmingham A. Z.
A. chapter were present. Henry A. Alex
ander, advisor of the Atlanta chapter,
introduced Rabbi Shusterman. Aaron
Rose, Harold Levin, Seymour Cohen and
Mose Abelsky delivered talks on A. Z. A.
and its work. Adolph Vajda presented
the Abe Feldman medal for outstanding
work to Sidney Parks.

The Atlanta Chapter of Senior 11a-
dassah held their first monthly meeting of
the season at the Jewish Progressive Club.
Mrs. Herbert Taylor presided, and in her
opening address stressed the present ne
cessity of Palestine as a land of refuge
and rehabilitation and as a homeland for
the Jewish people.
The new officers introduced by Mr.
Tavlor were: Mrs. T. T. Heilman, first
vice-president; Mrs. I. M. Weinstein, sec
ond vice-president; Mrs. Jack Weiss, re
cording secretary; Mrs. Morris Frank,
corresponding secretary; Mrs. T. M. Ros-
enfeld, treasurer; Mrs. P. Konlin, finan
cial secretary; Mrs. R. M. Travis, as
sistant financial secretary; Mrs. Sam F.
Levy, honorary president.
Mrs. Taylor appointed the following
committee chairmen for the coming sea
son: Mesdames M. A. Greenblatt and
Abe Cohen, infant welfare; Mrs. Sam
A. Goldberg, general ball; Mesdames M.
Mendel and Floyd Brandeis, ball tickets;
Mrs. Louis J. I.evitas, membership; Mes
dames Sam Levy and I. M. Weinstein,
donor luncheon; Mesdames Abner flirsch
and Mose Taylor, Jewish National
Fund; Mesdames Harry Mattel, S. Kul-

The standing committees will work on
their particular projects, while all depart
ments will make a united effort for the
two major H. M. O. (Hadassah Medical
Organization) projects, the Annual Ball
and the Donor’s Luncheon. The program
for the year is as follows: October, Jew
ish National Fund Month; November, An
nual Ball; December, Membership
Month; January, Penny Luncheon Fund
Month; February, Jewish National Fund
Month; March, Outside Relations Month;
April, Infant Welfare Month; May,
Donor’s Luncheon Month; June, Round
up of Year.

board members who enthusiastically en
dorsed President Roosevelt’s program and
pledged their cooperation.

Miss Natalie Cohen, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Dewald Cohen of Atlanta, has
received the high honor of being elected
a member of the National Political
Science Honor Society in their chapter
at the University of California, where
Miss Cohen is entering her senior year.
Election to membership in the fraternity
is attained entirely through scholastic
achievement.

Mr. Bonowitz is widely known in ath I
