3, at 2:30 p. m. The subject for
the afternoon w’ill be “Atlanta
Writers and Literature in the
Making." Mrs. Abe Schaeffer,
president of the Amateur Writers’
Club of Atlanta, will review Stefan
7Aveig’s “The Lost Menorah." Miss
Lola Pergament and David Ungar
will read some of their original
manuscripts. Mrs. Ben Brodie,
chairman, will present a paper on
the Sabbath Portion of the Bible.

Atlanta Senior Hadassah held
its annual membership tea at the
Jewish Progressive Club Monday,
Nov. 28. Mrs. Harry Dwoskin re
ported that 84 new members had
been enrolled since September.

The Sigma Theta Pi Sorority
will be host at a Mothers and
Daughters’ luncheon Saturday,
Dec. 3, at noon at the Standard

“Lost Horizons”
Opens at Erlanger
“Lost Horizons”, the Federal
Theatre production which will be
presented from Tuesday, Dec. 0.
to Saturday, Dececmeb 10 at the
Erlanger Theatre, will be giv
en as a special performance, Wed
nesday, Dec. 7, under the auspices
of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the
Jewish War Veterans.
The play was written by Harry
Segall with John Hayden and
has no connection with the novel
of James Hilton, which was pro
duced as a movie under a similar
name. This play depicts the life
after death of an actress, who
learns in the "record hall,” of the
mistake of her suicide and the ef
fect of her death on her contem-
porories.
Mrs. J. B. Levitan is chairman
of the Auxiliary committee for the
sale of tickets for Wednesday
night’s performance. She can be
