Spotting The General Assembly
Last week we printed the for
mal calendar which stands as far
as it went. It was the numerous
other events which finally made us
stop trying to keep track of what
the daughter sometimes,

to Atlanta family and friends for
the first time. He’s with the U.

excuse enough to entertain.
And local organizational officers
entertained national organizational
officers—you know how it is.
In our small way we want to
label the General Assembly and
all that went with it—the speeches,
luncheons, banquet, cocktail par
ties, et al—a great success.
There were so many,
things going on and so much we
can hardly more than point the
spot light in some particular di
rections.
Say, like pointing out the fine
and industrious corps of stenogs
and workers who manned the reg
istration desk and press room.
Quite vividly we recall Pat Gold-
guess when he slipped off to. see
his folks.
Some time ago, maybe a couple
of months ago, we noted that Rab
bi Samuel Sandmel, now director
I of B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation
at Chapel Hill, would bring his
young bride to Atlanta, where he
formerly was associate to Rabbi
many
, J Marx.
Well, Rabbi Sandmel came and
made a fine talk—but his wife
couldn’t accompany him. She was
here for the General Assembly and
the rabbi could introduce his
charming wife to friends.

York is visiting his niece and ne
phew, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Lef-

Atlanta Community Calendar
The Atlanta Date Clearance Bureau, conceived for the beiefl: of all
organizations in Atlanta, depends for Its success upon the continued
co-operation of every group in the community. Dates for next week’s
issue should be in the office by Wednesday noon. To avoid possible
confusion and overlapping, officers of organizations are requested to
notify this bureau of tentative dates as early as possible.
