In this war effort the Home
Front is most important. Carrying
on the day by day job is not as
spectacular as some of the emer
gency war services- But it is ur
gent that we do our work on this
home front as efficiently and as
well. This is especially necessary
in the field of social welfare. The
morale of the people behind the
military front must be maintained
on the level of security, under
standing, and united effort based
on mutual aid.

THIRD HIGHEST POST
IN HOUSE—
Tlie candidate who hopes to un
seat Bob Ramspeck "must beat a
man who has reached the third
highest leadership post, and who
ultimately will be In line for the
Speakership.” . . .
THE WASHINGTON POST.
"HE HAS A NATIONAL MIND":
"Thirteen years a Congressman,
Georgia's bespectacled, serious
Robert Ramspeck has sweated
hard. Through It all he has been
a loyal New Dealer. Last week,
partly as a reward and partly be
cause his chunky shoulders could
take It, he got a bigger job. Beam
ing with pleasure, grey-shocked
Majority Leader John W. McCor
mack tapped him to be Democratic
Whip. 'He has a national mind,’
said Leader McCormack of South
ern Bob Ramspeck."

Democratic Whip of the House
Ramspeck Has Voted for ALL
Defense and War Measures
Robert Ramspeck’s record is one seldom before
equalled in legislative history. . . Very few repre
sentatives have risen to the point of leadership in
so many important committees. . . Very few have
commanded the respect and confidence of their
fellow-members through such outstanding service.,
very few have had the political courage to place
legislation important to our nation’s welfare ahead
of personal political ambitions ... AS ROBERT
RAMSPECK HAS DONE.
His unceasing efforts in expediting the passage
of war and defense measures, and other vitally im
portant legislation, have won for him the full favor
of our great President, who has publicly acknowl
edged Robert Ramspeck as a man whose ability
experience, judgment and loyalty could be depended
upon. His appointment as Democratic Whip, third
highest ranking post in the House, is clearly indica
tive of the confidence his fellow-legislators hold in
his qualifications.
We need the able services, the valuable experi
ence and proven ability of Robert Ramspeck! With
our State and our Nation faced with the gravest
situation in history, to consider any other course
would be like "changing horses in the middle of the
stream". His record speaks for itself ... so let’s
send Robert Ramspeck back to Washington!
