daughter are back in Atlanta.

GREENBERG-RAPPAPORT
Mr. Charles Greenberg announces the marriage of his
daughter, Rose Anne, to Sergeant Seymour R. Rappaport
of Peekskill, N. Y. and Fort Benning, Georgia. The mar
riage was solemnized on August 16th at high noon at the
Lawson Field Chapel, Fort Benning, with Chaplain
Samson A. Shain officiating, in the presence of the im
mediate family and a few close friends. Acting as maid
of honor and only attendant was Miss Mickie Greenberg,
the bride’s only sister. Captain Irving L. Greenberg,
MC, brother of the bride, served as best man.
Among the out-of-town guests attending were the bride’s
father, Miss Mickie Greenberg, Mr. and Mrs. A. C.
Greenberg and daughter Arlene, Capt Irving L. Green
berg, Miss Dora Wald, and Mr. Louis Bodem, all of At
lanta; Miss Edith Rappaport, the groom’s sister, of Peek-
skill, N. Y.; and Mrs. Lena Brownstein of Philadelphia,
Pa.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home
of Mrs. Harriet B. Harris in Columbus, Ga., after which
the bridal couple left for a wedding trip to visit the
groom’s parents in Peekskill, stopping also in New York
City and Washington, D. C. Sgt. Rappaport is assigned to
Fort Benning.
SCHOENBERG-GREENLY
Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Schoenberg of Beaufort, South
Carolina announce the marriage of their daughter, Lu
cille Bernice to Sergeant Samuel Clifford Greenly of
Caldwell, New Jersey and Fort George G. Meade, Mary
land. Rabbi Harry H. Epstein performed the ceremony in
the presence of the immediate families on Sunday, Aug
ust 23rd at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. B. Asman.
Mrs. Greenly is the President of the Atlanta Chapter of
Junior Hadassah.
Mrs. Stanley Marienthal re
turned from a trip to Miami where
she was called on account of the
illness of her brother.

Mrs. Armand Wyle is in New
York to attend the funeral of her
father, Mr. William B. Weil. Mr.
Weil passed away at the age of 89
at Bellview Hospital, Saturday,
August 29th.

stationed at Fort Benning.

visited their son Lt. Edwin R.
Haas, Jr. in Washington. Lt. Haas
was transferred to Seattle, Wash.

from a trip to New Mexico.

celebrated their 25th anniversary,
Friday September 4th.

the holidays in Richmond Hill,

Mrs. Morris Hirsch and her

Atlanta after spending a month

OBITUARY
MR. ARTHUR B. FOX
Mr. Arthur B. Fox, 58, died
August 31st. Funeral services were
held Thursday, September 3rd at
10 o’clock. Dr. David Marx was
officiating. Interment took place
at Hill Crest cemetery. He is sur
vived by his wife, two sons, Wal
ter and Robert Fox, his niece, Mrs.
Robert Kushner, all of Atlanta,
and his nephew, Corporal Louis
Fuchs, stationed at El Paso, Tex-
A LETTER
FROM LONDON
Mr. tmd Mrs. Joseph Lewinsohn
received a letter from their son,
stationed somewhere in England.
Ben describes in it his first visit
to the capital and how deeply he
was impressed from war-time
London. He also tells about the
work of the American Red Cross
and about his experience in an air
raid shelter—where he spent a
comfortable night as no hotel
room was available over the week
end.
