the Junion Hadassah, will be
held at the Progressive Club,

The next meeting of all the
"Colonels” in the Men’s Division
will be held on Monday Evening,
April 29th, at 6:30 P. M., at the
Standard Club. This Is a dinner
meeting. The “Colonels” have
an evening of important work
ahead of them. It is urgent that
there be a good representative
attendance.
WOMEN’S DIVISION
FI LL SWING AHEAD
Mrs. S. J. Stelnbach and Mrs.
Ralph K. Uhry, Co-Chairmen,
have called all the "Colonels” In
the Women’s Division to a meet
ing on Sunday morning, April
28th, at 10:30 a. m. at the Stand
ard Club. At this meeting the
"Colonels” will discuss the
strategy of the general solicita
tion among women. All teams
will determine their territory
and assignments.
A meeting of the entire Wom
en’s Division, "Colonels” and
"Captains,” has been scheduled
for Wednesday, May 1st, at 12:30 !
P. M., at the Mayfair Club. This
is the annual luncheon of all'
the workers in Women’s Division.
At this gathering final Instruc-;
tions about the campaign will be I
given by the heads of the divi
sion.' Kits will be distributed,,
ready for general solicitation.
YOUTH DIVISION REACHES
TWO-THIRDS OF GOAL
The first report meeting of the
Youth Division showed that two- |
thirds of the goal has been
reached. The second report
meeting of the Youth Division
is scheduled for Wednesday eve
ning. May 1, for one hour, 7:00
to 8:00 p. m., at the Standard
Club. All colonels and captains
are urged to attend. The meet
ing will last one hour so that
those attending will be free to
meet other engagements for the
evening.
WOMEN’S SPECIAL GIFTS
REPORT GOOD RESULTS
Mrs. George Chait, Mrs. Philip
Shulhafer, Mrs. Harrv Dwoskin.
and Mrs. Joseph Freitag have
been hard at work securing in
creased giving. Their object is
to bring women’s giving into the
bracket of advanced giving. And
thev are succeeding beyond their
expectations.
Th o,r feel gratified and encour
aged by the spirit shown by all
those whom they have seen so
far. Success is in the air. Good
and proper giving is the order
of the day.
ANNUAL COMMUNITY
DINNER
The annual community dinner
Is set for Monday, May 13. Fur-
ther details will be announced
in the next issue of The Southern
Israelite.
Charter members will take part
in the first tableau. Members
participating in these tableaus
are, Katie Edelstein, Rita Gates,
Mary Tabachnick, Flora Hirsh,
Marcia Bogart, Carolyn Rosen-
bloom and Thelma Lupian. Rita
Gates, dramatic director, and a
newcomer to our city will be
featured in the main tableau.
Chairman for the banquet is
Rebbeca Bloom, assistant chair
man, Honey Saperstein. Assist
ing is Rita Gates, Director of
Dramatic Presentations; and
Jennie Davidson, Reservation
chairman. Helen Klein is in
charge of music.

the history of the National Jun
ior Hadassah, and of the growth
of the Atlanta unit will be given.
Those participating are Helen

?her, Helen Klein, Frances Flt-
terman and Lillian Rich.
The history of the Atlanta
Junior Hadassah will be pre
sented in a series of tableaus.
A ASISTERHOOD
The regular monthly board
meeting of the AA Sisterhood
will take place at the Educa
tional Center at 10:15 a. m.,
on May 1. There will be no
luncheon, as announced in
the Synagogue bulletin, in
view of the Welfare Fund
luncheon taking place on that
day.
At the regular monthly meet
ing ol the Shearith Israel Bro
therhood which will be held
Thursday May 2, at 8:15 p. m.,
in the Vestry Room of the
Synagogue, 500 Washington St.,
Rabbi Hyman R. Friedman will
deliver an address on “The At
titude of the Rabbis Towards
Labor and the Laborer.”
In his talk, the rabbi will point
out the causes of the misconcep
tions that have been responsible
for the alienation of the labor
organization against religion,
and will clarify the true attitude
to the problems confronting em
ployer and employe shrdlushrd
pounded In the Bible, Talmud,
and Rabbinic Responsa.
Since this is a problem in
which are all vitally concerned
in the present time, the Brother
hood extends a cordial invita-
liamentarian.
The following directors were
elected to serve for three years:

Jack Maziar. The newly elected
two-year directors are Mrs. Fritz
i Witt, Lillian Reisman, Charlotte
Vltncr and Celia Clein. Mrs.
Nathan Bach, Mrs. Ben Lutsky,
Mrs. Max E. Robkin and Dr. Rose
Lahman were elected to serve as
directors for one year.
Honorary members of the

Mrs. A1 Freedman.
One of the highlights of the
meeting was an inspiring talk
given by Progessor Glenn Rainey
o nthe Atomic Age.

Women Volers On
B'nai B'rith Program
The regular Monday night
radio program of the B’nai B’rith
will be turned over to the League
of Women Voters. The purpose
of this broadcast is to create
public interest in exercising the
rights to vote and to aid voters
in making the proper selection
in the coming primary. The
station is WATL; the time 7:15
p. m., Monday, April 29.

Atlanta Senior Hadassah Is

of the day, Mr. Max Kroloff,
whose subject will be “The
Victories of Peace.” Mr. Kroloff
is well known for his connection

League of B’nai Brith.
