TOUR U. S. FOR AMERICAN JEWISH CAVALCADE
In commemoration of the one hundredth anniversary of the coming
to the United States of Dr. Isaac M. Wise, the founder of Reform
Judaism, a group of America's leading rabbis are touring the United
States for the American Jewish Cavalcade, a religious emphasis
program, sponsored by the Union of American Hebrew Congrega
tions. Hailed by Jew and Gentile, President Truman has said,
"I am sure American Jewry will be the better for the American

About Delegates to
World Congress
RUMANIA
BUCHAREST. (JTA)—The Ru
manian Government has granted
exit visas to 14 delegates to the
World Zionist Congress, it was
learned this week.
The delegates were chosen by a
central board cn the basis of the
elections held on Nov. 10. The
Revisionist^ Mizrachi and Gen
eral Zionists B who are dissatis
fied with the allocation of seats
will ask the Congress to annul the
election results on the basis that
only twenty per cent of the eligible
voters participated.

CANADA
MONTREAL, (JTA)—Nine del
egates will represent Canadian
Jews at the 22nd World Zionist
Congress in Basle, it was an
nounced here.
The delegation which will be
headed by Samuel J. Zacks, presi- ,
dent of the Zionist Organization :
of Canada, and M. Dickstein, pres
ident of the Actions Committee
of the Labor Zionists, will consist
of four General Zionists, three
Labor Zionists and two represen
tatives of the Mizrachi. All have
agreed to support the Jewish
Agency proposal to negotiate with
the British for the establishment
of a “viable Jewish state in an ade
quate area of Palestine."

siding in China will be represent
ed by three delegates at the World
Zionist Congress. Two, a General
Zionist and a Revisionist, will rep
resent the Jewish refugee com
munity of Shanghai, and one. a
Revisionist, will represent the
Jews of Tientsin.
BUDGET ANNOUNCED
NEW YORK (JTA*—The Pi

America announced that it has
adopted a budget of over $1,000 -
000 for the coming year. Of tlii

liabilitation program of tl

Palestine, $250,000 for the Child
