Apple Tree Versus
Wheat Field
mV
If yon ever visit Jeb Croweli’e
lerm, hell take you right out on
lutt back porch of hie and show
p>u his apple tree.
“There,” saye Jeb, "is nature’*
noblest creation—fifty years, and
bearin' still the flneet eider apples
Id the county I”
Bnt last fall, when a group of
mu wax there, Lud Denny points
across the river to his grain fields
and eayst There's an even finer
sight! Acres snd seres of golden
grain yon can make domena of
appetizing things with—Including
wholesome, sparkling beer”
Both of them got so eloquent on
the subject, that the rest of us
worked up quite a thirst; so Jeb
goes to the icebox for beer and
cider. And when the refreshments
come, Lud chooses cider, and Jeb
takes the beer!
From where I ait, that's the
answer to most disputes. Yon ean
talk all you want, but when H
con|es to tastes sad prefer—con.
there’s just M argument.
