attended Sarah Lawrence College
and New York University and has
traveled extensively. Mrs. Joseph
Heyman will conduct the meeting.

FARBAND PLANS THIRD
SEDER SUNDAY, APRIL 13
The traditional Farband third
Seder will be celebrated at the
Alliance on Sunday, April 13, at
5:30 p. m. A program rich In
traditional and cultural content
has been prepared. Also a Pass-
over skit ‘‘What Is Passover?" will
be presented by the members of
the Farband.

mended to all congregations of
Atlanta the acceptance of mini
mum standards for Bar Mitzvali.

H. J. HOLTZ
Services for Harry J. Holtz, 26,
who died April 7, were conducted
April 8 at the chapel of Green
berg & FI inn. Rabbi Harry H.
Epstein and Cantor J. Schwartz-
itian officiated. Burial was in
Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Holtz, an accountant, was
a veteran of European service in
the Eighth Air Force. He is sur
vived by his father. Dr. Louis
Holtz, of Carrollton: a grand
father, Jacob Speilberger, of At
lanta; three aunts, Mrs. s I. Yu-
delson and Mrs. M. Manning, of
Atlanta, Mrs Ben B. Clein, of
Winston-Salem; two uncles, A. R.
and D. L. Speilberger.
Cultural Series
Cancels Program,
Plans New Season
With anouncement of antici
pated broader sponsorship to In-
sure better suport of its 1947-48 !
season the Atlanta Cultural Series j
has announced cancellation of its
final 1946-47 program.
The final presentation was toj

! Atlanta for a lecture April 23. The
event was cancelled because of
conflicting speaking dates. Holders
of season tickets will be permitted
to attend the initial presentation
of the series next fall without cost
and will be offered a reduction on
new season tickets.
A large number of the supporters
of the series have expressed deep
interest in continuing the pro
grams, which they feel have added
much to the cultural and intellec
tual life of the community. The
1947-48 season will be planned on
a broader scale, with more organ
izations recruited for sponsors so
that the program will be self-sup
porting
