Ukranian Anti-Semites
OTTAWA, (JTA)—The Van

a resolution protesting the state
ment by the Immigration Minister
that former members of the Nazi-
formed Ukranian Halytchyna Di

tion said that it has been proven
that the Halytchyna Division
fought in the second World War
on the side of the Nazis in the
ranks of Hitler's armies. It quotes
the text of the oath taken by
members of the Halytchyna as
reading;
“You are taking your place with

! front against the enemy, the entire
world: against the Jews and the
Bolsheviks. Happily and volun
tarily you respond to the call
made by Governor Wechter, and
enlisted in the ranks ready to
serve under our flag. This oath
I binds you for your entire life.”
Condeming this oath, the Labor
Council resolution says: “We state
that on the hands of the members
' of the Halytchyna Division there
is the blood of hundreds of thous
ands of victims of Nazi brutality,
among whom may also have been
our Canadian boys.” The resolu
tion was forwarded to the Cana-
