Swimming, Playground Also Offered
for Mizrachi Ladies’ Sunday Picnic
The Mizrachi Women of Atlanta want their first annual picnic Sun
day to turn into an all-family affair.
Leaders point out that the kosher meal to be served at the Master
Grill at North Fulton Park from 12:30 p. m. to 3:30 p. m. is conven
ient to the numerous park facilities.
These include a swimming pool, one of the nicest and cleanest in
the city's recreational set-up, and the newly developed playground
facilities for the youngsters. This playground, besides the usual play
ing equipment, includes a ride concession where 13 cents buys a sub
stantial ride on a merry-go-round, a miniature train large enough for
parents to accompany their kiddies comfortably, a water ride as well
as several others.
Mrs. A. Auerbach, president^says tickets can be secured from these
chairmen.' Mrs.’ L. S. Horowitz or co-chairman, Mrs. P. S Clein, or
any member at the price of $1.00 each. They'll be available at the park
too for latecomers.

at Lakewood
on August 13
Scouts of the Jewish War Vet
erans were busy this week locat
ing supplies of the finest beef and
fish in Atlanta for the barbecue
they will sponsor from 12 noon to
2:30 p. m. Sunday, August 13, at
Lakewood Park.
These two items will be col
lected late next week and the pro
cess of preparation begun for the
spread which the veterans annual
ly stage to raise funds for their
projects.
Chairman Irving Libowsky and
Co-Chairman Isadore Heiman
have promised that the food will
come up to the “excellent stand
ards” wtuch the veterans have set
in previous affairs of this sort.
The fish of course is for kosher
plate for those who prefer it. Pro
visions are made for holding the
barbecue indoors if it rains.
