and the National Catholic Welfare !
Conference this week in a state
ment strongly denouncing Com
munist aggression in Korea as the
“greatest menace to world peace.”
The joint statement by the
three major faiths in the United
States—the first such joint decla
ration on an international issue
since the end of World War II—
termed as “spurious" and decep
tive the “Stockholm Appeal” for
peace circulated by Communist
and Pro-Communist.
