They were en route to Laughlin
Air Base, Del Rio, Texas, where
Lt. Price will be stationed.

An art exhibit of works by
members of the Jewish Educa
tional Alliance is planned for
January 15 to February 3. Any
artist residing in Savannah who
is a member of the JEA and is
18 years or older is eligible to
exhibit. Further information may
be secured from Herb Rosenblatt
at the JEA.

Mrs. Gerald Pollack, chairman
of the Children’s Activities Com
mittee of the JEA has announced
that the annual Hanuka program
will take place. Special Hanuka
gifts and refreshments will be
given the children.

Garvis—Israel
SAVANNAH—The marriage of
Miss Diane Garvis and Jack Is
rael of Edison was solemnized
Sunday afternoon, Nov. 13, in the
Agudath Achim Synagogue by
the Rabbi Hershel Brooks.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Garvis are
the bride’s parents, Mr. Israel is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Israel of Edison.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her father. Mrs. Larry
Garvis of West Palm Beach, sis
ter-in-law of the bride, was ma
tron of honor. Mrs. Phil Israel of
Ft. Worth, Tex., was bridesmaid.
The bride’s sister, Miss Linda
Garvis, was junior bridesmaid.
Mr. Israel served as best man
for his son. Ushers were Larry
Garvis and Phil Israel.
After a reception in Brocking-
ton Hall, Mr. and Mrs. Israel left
on a wedding trip to the Ba
hamas. The couple will reside in
Albany.
