Sarasohn—Burnham
The Reich Hotel in Gadsden,
Ala., was the setting Sunday,
Feb. 5, for the wedding of Miss
Adele Rachel Sarasohn and Alan
Burnham of Atlanta.
Rabbi Jacob Halevi officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S.
Sarasohn of Birmingham. The
groom is the son of Mrs. Leonard
Burnham of Atlanta and the late
Mr. Burnham.
The bride was given in mar
riage by her uncle, Marvin
Philip Cohn, of Gadsden.
Miss Linda Cohn was maid of
honor.
Howard Burnham, member of
the New Orleans Jewish Com
munity Center staff, was his bro
ther’s best man. Ushers were Al
fred Cohn, Gadsden; Howard
Sarasohn, California; Dr. Herbert
Alpern and Dr. Alan Lease of At
lanta.
A reception followed the cere
mony. After a honeymoon in
Florida, the couple will live In
Atlanta. Among the Atlanta
guests at the wedding were:

daughter Charlotte to Dr. Allen
Jacobson, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Jacobson of Newport, Va.
Allen is finishing his intern
ship at Grady Hospital and will
enter the service in July. Char
lotte teaches at the Capitol View
Elementary School.
The marriage will be held
March 26 at the Shearith Israel

daughter. Marcia Lynn, and Irwin
Bomchel of Birmingham, Ala.
Miss Friedman is the grand
daughter of S. H. Tesler of
Charleston, S. C., and the late
Mr. Tesler, and Mrs. M. Fried
man and the late Mr. Friedman.
The bride-elect was graduated
from the University of Georgia.
She also attended University Hos
pital School of X-Ray Technol
ogy. She is a member of the
Council for Exceptional Children,
the American Association on
Mental Deficiency, and is direc
tor of the Fulton County Teach
ers Assdciation. She is employed
by the Fulton County Board of
Education.
Mr. Bomchel is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. William Bomchel of
Birmingham. He received his B.S.
degree in bio-chemistry from the
University of Alabama, and is
employed by Puritan Fashions
Corporation of New York City.
The wedding is planned for
July 9 in Brunswick.
