Head Mens Advance Gifts

Jack I. Freedman and Harry P. Kuniansky have been select
ed to head the Advance Gifts Division of the 1967 Campaign of the
Jewish Welfare Fund.
This was announced by Dr. Marvin C. Goldstein, General Chair
man of the Campaign. He pointed out that Freedman and Kuniansky
did an outstanding job as Co-Chairmen of the same division in
last year’s campaign.
A committee is now being formed to follow up on this division’s
efforts.
The Women’s Division of the Jewish Welfare Fund has selected the Chair
men of the Advance Gifts and Special Gifts Divisions of the 1967 Campaign. This
was announced by Mrs. Leon Frohsin and Mrs. Harold Levow, general co-chair
men of the Women’s Division.

PLAYLET PERFORMED FOR
JEWISH WELFARE FUND
A playlet, “The Pattern,” has been written by Mrs. Robert
Goldsmith, especially for the 1967 Campaign of the Jewish Welfare
Fund.
The playlet describes the search of one of the characters for
a pattern which will give meaning to Jewish life and participation.
It is based on the purpose of the Welfare Fund and the help it
provides through its beneficiary agencies to people in all parts of
the world.
“The Pattern” has already been performed before several
groups of the Women’s Division who responded enthusiastically to
the presentation. The playlet is directed by Mrs. A1 Bemsohn and
includes the following participants: Mrs. Sheldon Cohen, Mrs. Gar
vin Kleber, Mrs. Stanford Makover, Mrs. Seymour Weinberg, Mrs.
Morton L. Weiss.
Gulden Heads Scrap
Metal Division
Sidney Gulden, prominent Atlanta community leader, has been
selected as chairman of the Scrap Metal Division of the Jewish Wel
fare Fund’s 1967 Campaign. This Division, which is composed primarily
of dealers in serap metal and allied industries, has always played a
prominent role in the drive. Traditionally, this group has held the
first function in the campaign and has served as a bellwether for
the success of the annual drive.
Gulden, a former chairman of the Division, has also served as
president of the Bureau of Jewish Education and Shearith Israel
Congregation.
Recently he and Mrs. Gulden participated in a “Mission to
Israel” composed of scrap metal dealers from all sections of the
United States.
The Scrap Metal Division will hold its annual get-together in be
half of the Welfare Fund at a dinner on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28,
at the Progressive Club. Featured on the program will be a report
to the group and presentation of slides of the “Scrap Metal’s Mission
to Israel.”
Serving with Gulden on the Scrap Metal Committee are M. Wil
liam Breman, Gerald Cohen, Sidney Feldman, Beryl Koplin, Bob
London, Max Rittenbaum and Abe Taratoot.

Co-Chairmen of Advance Gifts are Mrs. Herschel Hurwitz, Mrs.
A. A. Weinstein, Mrs. Jerome Zimmerman, Members of this Division
recently met at the home of Mrs. A. A. Weinstein where the cam
paign story was presented.

The Special Gifts Division is having its planning and educational
meeting on March 7 at the home of Mrs. Seymour Weinberg.
