bride of Robert Hugh Weissman
on July 23 in Temple Israel, Or
lando.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Weissman of
Tampa.
The newlyweds will make their
home in Tampa.
Serotta - Dinsmore
AUGUSTA — Mr. and Mrs.
Elliott C. Serotta announce the
engagement of their daughter
Jayne, to Lt. David W. Dinsmore
of Shickshinny, Pa., son of Mrs.
Beatrice Dinsmore of Shickshin
ny and John Dinsmore of New
ton, Kan.
The wedding will be held
December 3 at Walton Way
Temple.
The bride-elect graduated from
the Academy of Richmond Coun
ty and the University of Georgia,
where she was a member of the
executive council and voted out
standing sister of Sigma Delta
Tau sorority. She was elected to
Alpha Lambda Delta, freshman
honorary fraternity, and Kappa
Delta Epsilon, honorary educa
tion fraternity.
Miss Serotta is employed as a
recreation worker for the Ameri
can Red Cross and recently re
turned from two years’ work in
Europe.

Verkauf - Turkel
Miss Elinor Verkauf, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Verkauf of
Tampa, became the bride of Dr.
Robert A. Turkel on August 20.
The ceremony took place in
Tampa with Rabbi Stanley Kazan
officiating. Dr. Turkel is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Turkel
of Tampa.
Mr. Verkauf gave his daughter
m marriage. Mrs. Barry Verkauf,
Baltimore, was matron of honor.
Attendants were Mrs. Donald
Friedlander, Tuscaloosa, Ala.,
and Mrs. Richard Turkel, sister-
in-law of the bridegroom.
Richard Turkel was his broth
er’s best man. Groomsmen-ushers
were Dr. Barry Verkauf, Balti
more, and Dr. Joseph Lupo.
The couple will reside in
Tampa.

for the couple before their mar

UN Emphasis
The Atlanta Section of the Na
tional Council of Jewish Wom
en will feature the United Na
tions at its meeting on Monday,
Oct. 16, at 12:30 p. m. at the At
lanta Cabana Motel.
Glenn E. Bennett was associ
ated with the United Nations for
almost 15 years. His subject will
be “UN Undertones,” a discus
sion of UN’s role in the Arab-
Israeli situation and possibilities
of UN action in the future.
Mr. Bennett is vice president
of the Atlanta Chapter of the
United Nations Association of the
United States and chairman of
the Mayor’s Committee for UN
Day Observance.
A gourmet lunch, especially
planned by Switzerland House
for the United Nations Program,
will feature foods from around
the world. Price will be $2.50 per
person.
