To All Boys and Girls in
Atlanta Who Received
Hanuka Gelt
We Jews are a people with a long and glori
ous history. Traditions play an important role in
our daily life. We want to take this opportunity
to suggest to you a wonderful way to say “Todah
Rahbah” to your parents, grandparents, relatives
and friends.
Soon we will celebrate Tu Bishevat—Hebrew
Arbor Day—by planting trees in the forests of
the Holy Land, in honor of and in memory of
dear ones. This year, we celebrate r Tu Bishevat
on Wednesday and Thursday, January 21 and
22, 1970. Now is the time to put away some of
your Hanuka gelt so that you can join in this
wonderful Jewish festival and tradition.
The Religious Day, Afternoon and Sunday
Schools in Atlanta have JNF tree planting ma
terials and cards to help you. This year get all
of your friends to participate in a tradition that
has become the National Sport of Israel—Plant
ing Trees.
