Atlantan Is New President
Of AEPi Fraternity
At the recent convention of
Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity,
Paul Aron in was elected nation
al president, the fourth Atlan
tan to hold this post.
' David Goldwasser served in
1942 and 1943, the late Sidney
El Goldberg in 1945 and 1946
and the late Arnold B. Hoffman
in 1955 and 1956. Paul is the
second Georgia Tech alumnus to
serve in this capacity.
He was a member of the Sig
ma Gamma local fraternity at

Georgia Tech, which became
affiliated with Alpha Epsilon Pi
on March 22, 1946. He later left
Georgia Tech to serve with the
military, but returned to com
plete his work for bachelor of
industrial engineering degree in
1950. He then completed his ac
counting work at Georgia State
College.
Actively participating in his
undergraduate chapter, he re
mained active after graduation
by serving as chapter supervisor
an4 • then as regional governor
for the fraternity in which ca-

pacity he served until he was
elected to the Supreme Board, of
Governors in 1963. He has
served in all of the named pos
itions on the Board until his
election as national president.
He has also served as a mem
ber of the Fiscal Control Board
and on various special and
standing committees of the fra
ternity.
Mr. Aronin served as treas
urer of the 1952' National Con
vention and as chairman of the
1962 National Convention both
of which were held in Atlanta.
He now serves as president of
the Emory, Georgia Tech and
Alabama House Corporations.

In Atlanta
The national president of the
Ladies Auxiliary of the Jewish
War Veterans, Mrs. Freda Alex
ander, was in Atlanta last week- *»
end for a brief visit with mem-'
bers of the local Auxiliary.
A reception was held at the
home of Mrs. Meyer Abgott in
honor of the visit. While here,
Mrs. Alexander joined members
of the local group in the presen
tation of carpeting for the newly
completed teenage recreation
room at Grady Memorial Hos
pital. Post 112 Auxiliary pro
vides monthly birthday parties
in the children’s ward as one of
its community service projects.
Klondike Nite
For AA Couples
The Mr. and Mrs. Club of
Ahavath Achim Synagogue will
hold a “Klondike Night” Social
at 8:15 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13,
at the Synagogue.
Dancing and a surprise pro
gram are planned and the ad
mission charge of $6 per couple
will include hot dogs, beer and
play money.
Reservations are to be made
with Mrs. Randy Moret, 634-4049.
Baby sitting can be arranged
through Mrs. Harriet Davidow,
233-8471.
In 1960 he was named “outstand
ing alumnus of the fraternity.”
In addition to his fraternity
activities, Mr. Aronin is active
in and a charter member of
Temple Sinai of Atlanta, serving
on the finance committtee. He
also serves oh the board of di
rectors of the Atlanta Jewish
Community Center and and as
treasurer of the Mayfair Club.
Paul Aronin is a partner in
the CPA firm of Gershon, Aronin
& Company. He and his lovely
wife Bonnie are the parents of
two boys, Ivan age 5 and Adam
age. 2. He is the son of the late
Isidor Aronin and Mrs. Antoin
ette Roselle, who now resides in
Atlanta.
At the same meetings the
Alpha Epsilon Pi National Con
stitution was amended to pro
vide for two undergraduate
members of the Supreme Board
of Governors. Phillip Cuba, who
attends Auburn University and
serves as vice president of the
Interfraternity Council there,
was honored with his election
as one of the two undergraduate
members. Phillip is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cuba.

cently for a party given in hon
or of Joan’s engagement to
Gary Levy. The party at the
Ridgeway Country Club in
Memphis was given by the
bridegroom-elect’s parents Mr.
and Mrs. Max Levy.
