PART II
♦names upon request
. . new excerpts from
actual letters* show
the divisiveness and
hurt created by the
Centers Sabbath
violation policy.
It offends
my sensibility as e Jew
and I resent any public
agency supported by
the general Jewish
community reflec ting
the wishes, of only a
segment of that com
munity.
— a professional
businesswoman
This is
a direct violation of the
holiness of the Sabbath
and we resent the At
lanta Jewish Community
Center violating this
holy day.
' — a physician
I honestly
don't know of any ac
tion on the part of any
Atlanta Jewish Com
munity Agency in my
few years of participat
ing in the Atlanta Jew
ish Community that has
created such a division
among \ what was up
until now a very unique
and homogeneous Jew
ish Community. I urge
you to call a special
meeting of the Board of
Trustees at the earliest
opportunity, in order to
reconsider and rescind
this recent action.
— a prominent
developer
I was
appalled to learn upon
my return that the
board at its regular
meeting voted to open
Zaban Park on Satur-
days. ,
