Mrs. L.ena Greinoman Kessler
of Atlanta died Wednesday, July
18.
Graveside services were held
Friday, July 20, at Crest Lawn
Memorial Park with Rabbi Alvin
Sugarman officiating.
Survivors include her husband,
Irving V. Kessler, daughter, Mrs.
David Oliver of Puerto Rico;
brother, Wayne Greinoman of
Atlanta: two grandchildren, nieces
and nephews.
Herschel Lange
Herschel Lange of Atlanta died
Monday, July 30.
Graveside services were held
Wednesday, Aug. I, in Greenwood
Cemetery with Rabbi Stanley
Funston of Asheville, N. C., of
ficiating.
Mr. Lange, originally from
Atlanta, had lived in Asheville for
a number of years before moving
back to Atlanta a few years ago.
He was a member of the Temple.
Survivors include his wife. Mrs.
Judy Florence Lange: daughters,
Linda, Bonnie and Merrie Lange,
all of Atlanta; sisters, Mrs. Frank
Cohen and Mrs. Morris Boss, both
of Atlanta and Mrs. Sidney Morel
and Mrs, Hy Berman, both of New
York; nieces and nephews.
Samuel Sacked
Samuel Sackett, 93, father of
Herbert J. Sackett of Atlanta,
passed away July 23 In New
Haven, Conn.
Besides his son in Atlanta, he is
survived by a son. Dr. Sidney A.
Sackett of Woodside, N. Y.; a
sister, Mrs Jessie Greenman of
Calif.; six grandchildren and five
great grandchildren.
Abraham Schlucker
Abraham Schlucker, 75, of
Savannah died July 18.
He was a native of New York
City hut had lived in Savannah for
the past 16 years. Mr. Schlucker
was retired from the New York
City police department.
Surviving are his wile, Mrs.
Sophia Lieber Schlucker of Savan
nah; son David I) Schlucker,
Savannah; daughter, Barbara
Oster of Newark, N. J., and three
grandchildren"
( hristians and Jews.
Proceeds from the dinner,
which is priced at $200 per cou
ple, will aid National Jewish
Hospital's programs for patient
treatment, medical research and
professional training in asthma
and immunological disorders.
The center serves as an extent-
sion of medical resources in
Georgia. Since the hospital’s
founding in 1899, patients from
Atlanta alone have received more
than 16,000 days of care for
asthma and other chronic
respiratory diseases.
