held its first PTA meeting in June,
when a constitution and bylaws
were approved.
Mr. and Mrs. Joel Lobel were
elected presidents. Vice presidents
are Mr and Mrs. Seymour
Fleisher, Mr. and Mrs. Victor
Maslia and Mr. and Mrs.
Marshall Solomon.
Volunteers are needed for
various committees and persons
wishing to serve can call the school
office, 351-7623. Family dues of $5
a year can be mailed to the school
office.

Bike-a-Thon
A bike-a-thon to raise money
for the fight against Muscular
Dystrophy will be sponsored on
August 19 by Kadimah Chapter
of B'nai B’rith Girls.
Last year, the first such event
planned by the chapter raised over
$4,000 for the Muscular
Dystrophy Assns. of America,
reported a chapter member, and
they expect to top that this year.
The 20-mile route will start at
Colony Square and finish at Chas
tain Park. Police will escort the
riders along the way and frequent
rest stops are planned.
Instructions and sponsor sheets
are available at all Richway stores.
Sponsors are to pledge funds for
each mile covered by their biker.
A ten-speed bike is to be award
ed to the rider who raises the
