Feldman’s views were challeng
ed by a number of Jewish
leaders present who felt that the
move away from the .center city
and its established religious
Jewish institutions “are a
calamity because it breaks up
well-organised Jewish com
munal life."
Rabbi Pinellas Teits of
Elisabeth, N.J., stressed that
Orthodox Jews must rebuild the
rich spiritual life devastated in
the holocaust and there is “no
better chance than in the free
society." He added: "What we
are experiencing today is not
merely a Jewish revival, a desire
for eome form of identification,
but a Torah explosion. It is a
quest on the part of our youth
for full commitment of heart,
mind and aoul."
Teitx stressed that as
Orthodoxy has finally gained
recognition in Jewish society, it
must now *ii*ve the vision,
courage and determination to
plan the total Jewish tomorrow
on a Torah basis." He also
criticised the secular Jewish
Establishment as being led "by
men and woman who can be
classifiad na illiterate in a
Jewish sense but yet have con
trol of the Jewish identity."
The religious needs of South
American Jews was highlighted
by Rabbi Selig Privalsky of Sao
Paulo, Brazil and Rabbi Shmuel
Aryeb Levin of Buenos Aires,,
Argentina. They depicted the ex-

Mrs. Quire Gerahon Fox, 77,
of Atlanta died November 20.
Graveside services were held
Monday, Novi. 22, at Creet Lawn

A native of Atlanta, Mrs. Fox
was the retired office manager
of Nu-Way Foods. She was a
member of the Temple.
At one time,’ Mrs. Fox had
been a bridge player of national
aeope and had played in many;
national tournaments. She was
widely known because of her
skilled playing and for many
years had taught bridge in
Atlanta and conducted duplicate
bridge tournaments.
SurVivoirs include her
daughter, Mrs. Louis K. Levy of-
Atlanta; sister, Mrs. Allen David
of East. Orange, NJ., brother,
Sidney Gershon of Sarasota,.
Fla., two grandsons and on*
great-grandchild.
Ike Kinsler
Ike Kinaler, 83, of Atlanta
died Saturday, Nov. 20.
Graveside service was held
Sunday, Nov. 21, in Greenwood
Cemetery with Rabbi Emanuel
Feldihan officiating.
Mr. Kinaler was a retired
custom tailor. He waa a veteran
of World War I and belonged to
the Jewish War Veterans. He
was a member of Congregation
Beth Jacob.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Sari Pdtz Kinsler, son,
Norman Kinsler of Atianta,'knd

Dr. Murray Ginsberg
SAVANNAH - Dr. Murray
T. Ginsberg, 34, of Savannah
died Wednesday, Nov. 17.
Funeral was held Thursday,
Nov. 18, with Rabbi A. I.
Rosenberg officiating. Inter
ment was in Bonaventure
Cemetery. ,
Dr. Ginsberg, a Savannah
native, was chief of the dental
staff at Candler General
Hospital for the past two years.
He belonged to the American
Acadetny of Periodontists, the
Georgia Dental f Assn., the
Southeastern Dental Society,
the Coastal Study Qub and the
Southern Academy of Periodon
tists.
Dr. Ginsberg had been a board
member of the Savannah Jewish
Council. He was a member of
Congregation B’nai B’rith Jacob
and of Agudath Achim
Synagogue.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. Linda Gartner Ginsberg,
two daughters, the Misses Leslie
and Tracy Ginsberg; son, Marc
Ginsberg, all of Savannah;
mother, Mrs. Florence Ginsberg
of Miami Beach; brother,
Howard Ginsberg of Savannah
and sister, Mrs. Barbara Tanen-
baum of Savannah.
