Gary Altman, son of Mr. and
Mrs. George Altman of Atlanta,
is doing post-doctoral research
at the University of Wisconsin
after receiving his doctorate in
bio-physics from the University
of Western Ontario in January.
Gary and his wife, the former
Judy Rich, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney Rich, of Atlanta,
are thfe parents of a two year old
son, David Abraham.

twins Caren Elise and Richard
Alan, on April 1. The
Eisensteins also have a son,
Stephen. Grandparents are Mr.

Vancouver, British Columbia.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Waldorf
of Miami announce the birth of a
son, Scott Howard, on January
26. Grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Posner and Mrs.
Sylvia Waldorf and the late
Maurice Waldorf.

Reform Jew, which is quite
different from Orthodox. Most
of the synagogues here (in
Virginia) are Orthodox and that
means you sit upstairs and the
men sit downstairs. And I’m
afraid I just don’t go for that.”
Now married to John Warner,
she lives at Middleburg, Va. in
the Blue Ridge Mountains. She
became Jewish, having been con
verted by the late Rabbi Max
Nussbaum when she was
married to the late Mike Todd.

Fourth District,
DeKalb County.
A senior at I
Druid Hills High School, David
was named first runner up in the
state competition receiving an
award of $500 at the State STAR
Banquet.
David’s other honors and ac
tivities include selection in 1975
to attend the National Science
Foundation Program at Emory,
where he earned an award in
math, and selection in 1976 to
participate in the Governor’s
Honors Program in the field of
social studies.
David was special editor on
the Druid Hills newspaper,
Spotlight. For three years
he has been on the Varsity
soccer team and a member of
both the marching and concert
bands.
A member of the Temple,
David is treasurer of Temple
Youth Group (TYG).
David’s great-uncle, David
Schwartz, is a long time cor
respondent and columnist for
the Jewish Telegraphic Associa
tion (JTA). Ijis column runs
regularly in The Southern
Israelite.
Marcy Goldstein, daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Martin Goldstein,
of Atlanta, has been named to
the dean’s list for the winter
quarter at Georgia State Univer
sity. She was also selected for
membership in Alpha Lambda
Delta, national freshman honor
society. Marcy is a graduate of
the Epstein-Solomon Schechter
School of Atlanta.
Bad luck has dogged Atlanta
native Ron Blomberg, slugger of
the New York Yankees, for the
past several years with a right
shoulder that yielded only after
an operation last year, but kept
him out of the lineup. This year
he demonstrated that he had not
lost his skill at the training
camp, but his ordeal was not to
