Fall season a success for Hebrew Academy Chorale
The Hebrew Academy Chorale,
under the direction of Nancy Sigal,
has had a busy fall season during
its fifth year of providing
entertainment throughout the
metro Atlanta area and other
communities.
They were the guests of the
Chattanooga Day School and
AJCC/Zaban begins
winter children's clubs
Congregation B’nai Tzion on Nov.
13, where they gave a concert for
the Chattanooga Jewish
community.
On Dec. 5, the 80third-through-
seventh graders presented a
Manuka program for the Smoke
Rise Elementary School in Stone
Mountain. They also participated

Edith Blicksilver
in the Women's Plea for Soviet
Jewry rally on Dec. 9 at the
Temple.
The Hebrew Academy Chorale’s
first record, “Kochevei Atlanta”
has sold out two printings to date,
with a new record to be released in
1980.

Children’s winter club
registration is now open at the
AJCC/Zaban Branch. All clubs
begin the week of Jan. 7 and run
for eight consecutive weeks,
meeting during the afternoons
Irom 4:30-6 p.m. The supervised
gameroom is also available before
and after club meetings.
Various clubs arc being offered
for first through eighth graders
including Cooking Club, Fun and
(iames Club, Mighty Models
Club. Star Wars and Beyond Club,
and Sports Club. Youngsters can

AJCC/Zaban continues
workshops for women
On the first Friday of each
month the A .ICC continues to
offer programs of special interest
to women at the Zaban Branch.
The program for Friday. Jan. 4,
will include an aerobic dance
workshop. The public is invited to
attend this free program and
encouraged to come dressed in
tennis shoes and prepared to
dance.
Coffee and bagels w ill be served
after the workshop. For details or

Judaea reunion to be held from 2-5

Slides from last summer will be
shown and campers are urged to
bring their own photographs to

Family Outreach Center 1
has parenting seminars
The Family Outreach Center,
cosponsored by the National
Council of Jewish Women and
Fulton County Family and
Children's Services, will conduct
three parenting seminars
beginning Jan. 16.
The sessions will be an
opportunity for parents to learn
and share ideas and problems of
child-rearing. Each seminar will be
concerned with different facets of
raising children, or not having
children, and will be led by
members of the Family Outreach
staff
The first session will be held
from 7:30-9p.m,, Wednesday, Jan.
16. at the Family Outreach Center,
120 Copeland Road. The topic will
be "Meeting your needs and the
needs of your children." The
seminar will be conducted in an
informal setting and there will be
time for questions. Admission is $2
pet person.
The second session to be held
January 30 will be “Communica
ting and relating with your child."
The final session will be on Feb. 13.
