‘A Night to Remember’ planned
The Atlanta chapter of City of
Hope will present "A Night to
Remember," at 7:30 p.m.

The evening will include music
of the '50s, a kosher supper, door
prizes, an auction and a raffle of an

Winter brings a sharp edge not
only to the air but also to the
intellectual curiosity of students at
the Atlanta Bureau of Jewish
Education’s Adult Institute of
Jewish Studies. On Wednesday
evenings participants file into the
AJCC on Peachtree and settle in
for an hour or so of Judaic
enrichment. During the course of
the eight-week study, lively
discussions turn classmates into
friendly acquaintances, in fact, the
institute has even nurtured an
occasional romance.

Shearith Israel to hear
from visiting clergyman
The Rev. Randy Collinson will
deliver a sermon on Saturday
morning, Jan. 16, during Shabbat
services, at Shearith Israel
synagogue.
Rev. Collinson is a minister of
the United Church of Christ, and
has served as a pastor in Oklahoma
and Sandy Springs.
He recently left his local
congregation to devote his full
energies to the Help the Children
project to which Shearith Israel
belongs He also did extensive
work in the civil rights movement
