Mr and Mrs. Stanley Ulman of
Atlanu announce the engagement
of their (laughter, Jennifer Ann, to
Harvey Victor Rickies, son of Dr.
and Mrs. Seymour Rickies of
Miami.
Miss Ulman is the granddaughter
of Julius Ulman and the late
Elizabeth Brown Ulman of
Atlanta, and the late Dr. and Mrs.
Charles Saks of Syracuse, N Y
The bridenflect received her
bachelor of business administration
degree in marketing from Georgia
State University in 1981, and a
master of business administration
degree in marketing from the
University of Georgia in 1982.
Mr. Rickies is the grandson of
Asher and Molley Rickies, and the
late Samuel and Dorothy
Metzman, all of Philadelphia.
The bridegroom-elect graduated
from Georgia Tech with a bachelor
of industrial engineering degree.
He is an industrial engineer at Key
Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Miami.
A June wedding is planned.

Miss Robyn Sue Sugarman of
Pikesville, Md., and Alan Mark
Sadler of Savannah were married
Nov. 21 in B’nai B'rith Jacob
Synagogue. Rabbi Avigdor Slatus
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Robert Sugarman of Baltimore.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Barney Sadler.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride had her sister, Ms. Cheri
Beth Sugarman of Bandallstown,
Md., as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Lynne
Sadler of Houston, sister of the
bridegroom, Ms. Flaura A. Koplin

Mr. and Mrs. Leon Socoi of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Jody Lynn, to
Clifford Martin Cohen, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Milton Cohen of New
York City.
Miss Socoi is a graduate of the
University of Georgia, and
received her master of arts degree
in art history with a certification in
museum education, summa cum laude
from Southern Methodist University
in Dallas, Texas. She is employed by
the Dallas Women’s Art Gallery.
The future bride is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Rae Socoi
and the late Mr. Jake Socoi of
Breckenridge, Texas, and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Max Feldman of
Atlanta.
Mr. Cohen received a liberal arts
degree from Pace University in
New York City. He is saies
manager for Rubenstcin Foods
Inc., of Dallas, Texas.
The prospective bridegroom is
the grandson of Mrs. Pauline
Cohen and the late Joseph Cohen,
and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ben
Stegman, all of New York City.
An August wedding is planned
in Atlanta.

bride, were ringbearers. Flower
girl was Stephanie Rotkow, cousin
of the bride.
After a reception in the
synagogue social hall, the couple
left for a wedding cruise. They will
live in Savannah.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hyman of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Linda Dale, to
Mitchell Jacob Buchman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Max Buchman of
Houston, Texas.
Miss Hyman is the granddaughter
of Casper Rapkin and the late
Sophie Rapkin of New City, N.Y.,
and the late Sam and Mamie
Hyman of Divine Corners, N Y.
The bride-elect received her
bachelor of business administration
degree in international business
from the University of Georgia in
1981. She is currently a banking
officer in the Energy Group of
Texas Commerce Bank National
Association. *
Mr Buchman is the grandson of
Mr*. Bcckic Spivack and the tale
Max Spivack of Brooklyn, N.Y.,
and the late Jack and Minnie
Buchman of Brooklyn.
The bridegroom-elect received
his bachelor of arts degree from the
University of Texas in 1978, and
his doctor of jurisprudence degree
from South'Texas College of Law
in 1981. He is currently an
associate with the Houston law
firm Eikenburg and Stiles.
A June wedding is planned in
Atlanta.

Brown Sugar Cake
If you are locking for an easy-to-
make cake, which can be made in
one bowl, you’ll find this one an
easy delight.
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1V, cups flour
I cup brown sugar
'A cup milk
1 Vi tsps. baking powder
2 taps, vanilla sugar
y< cup raisins
Vi cup chopped walnuts
Mix all ingredients together,
except raisins and walnuts, at a low
speed until blended. Then blend
another minute or so on medium
speed until batter is smooth. Add
raisins and walnuts. Bake in a
greased 9« 12-inch pan for 'A hour.
Frost with whipped cream to
which a teaspoon of rum flavoring
has been added.
