Dr William F. Schalten,
general chairman for (he Atlanta
Jewish Federation's 1984
Campaign, has his Campaign
Cabinet in place and plans tor the
implementation of the campaign
are well underway.
I here are six associate
chairpersons for this year’s
campaign. These associate
chairmen, along with individual
division chairpersons, make up the
Campaign Cabinet. 1984 associate
chairpersons are Mark Lichtenstein,
Sanford Cohn, Bobby tvinzler,
Lois Blonder. Elaine Kolodkin
Elaine Kolodkin
campaign, and his optimism about
the community's ability to
accomplish the 1984 goal of
$6,800,000 to the regular campaign
and $600,000 in cash to Project
Renewal.
Mark Lichtenstein
and Fred Katz
Lichtenstein will chair the
advance gifts effort, which
concerns itsell with all gifts of
$5,000 or more A membei of the
board of directors of both
Federation and the Hebrew
Academy, Lichtenstein, is an
experienced campaign volunteer
He has served in many leadership
post ions with Federation,
including leading several Missions
to Israel, in addition to his
involvement in numerous other
community activities
Sanford Cohn and Bobby
Rin/ler share responsibility for the
I rades and Professions, and each
of them oversees a group of
divisions. Cohn is an attorney now
se ving on the Federation board,
who has served on the board of his
congregation and participated in
two Federation Missions to Israel.
Rinzler, a real estate investor, is a
Sanford Cohen
member of Federation’s board of
directors and serves as president of
the Atlanta Chapter of the
Technion Society. He has
extensive campaign experience
and has participated in several
Federation Missions to Israel.
Lois Blonder and Elaine
Kolodkinare co-chairing the
Women’s Division Campaign The
Women’s Division, a separate
Bobby Rinzler
division of the General Campaign,
provides the opportunity for
women, as individuals, to express
their commitment to both the
Atlanta Jewish community and to
Jews the world over. Lois Blonder
is a board member of both the
Federation and Jewish Family
Services. An active member of
Hadassah. she has been on several
Israel Missions and co-chaired the
Women’s Division Campaign last
year Elaine Kolodkin’s
community involvement includes
numerous past positions of
leadership in Federation, as well as
active involvement with the
Epstein School. She serves on the
Federation board and has been a
mission participant three times in
past years.
Special Projects for the 1984
Campaign will be handled by Dr
Fred Katz. Special Projects
include Project Renewal. Super
Sunday, Celebrate Israel Walk for
Yehud, Worker Training and New
Gifts. Katz, whose extensive
campaign experience includes
designing worker training materials
for several campaigns, is a member
of Federation's board and the
board of Yeshiva High School. A
veteran of many trips to Israel, he
is one of the leaders of the
upcoming January Young
Leadership Mission, Federation’s
fourth such mission for young
leaders.

In announcing the appointment
of these men and women as
associate chairpersons, Schatten
emphasized his faith in their
leadership capabilities, his
excitement about the upcoming
