Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Cowan
of Marietta announce the marriage
of their daughter, Marcia Jeanette,
to Glenn Scott Russell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph Russell of Atlanta.
The marriage was performed Oct.
12 at The Temple, with Rabbi
Alvin Sugarman officiating.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Mrs. Sid Cowan of Needham,
Mass., and the late Maurice Cowan,
and Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Bessey of
Patterson, Calif. The bridegroom
is the grandson of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Plotnick of Chelsea,
Mass., and the late Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Russell of Boston.
Andrea Cowan, the bride’s sister,
was maid of honor. Attendants
were Kim Morris of Atlanta; Wendy
Weiner of Charlotte, N.C.; Mindy
Silver of Birmingham, Ala.; and
Mary Levy of Jackson, Miss.
The bridegroom’s father was best
man. Ushers were Dr. Jeffrey Russell,
brother of the bridegroom, of New
Haven, Conn.; Dan Cowan, brother
of the bride; Evan Busman and
Larry Nemeth of Atlanta.
Tarin Tacosa, cousin of the bride,
of Williamsburg, Va., was the flower
girl. Lee Greenbaum of Roswell
was the ring bearer.
Karen Freedman of Savannah
kept the bride’s book. Tasha Tacosa,
cousin of the bride, of Williamsburg
distributed the rice bags.

University of Georgia, is employed

Miss Green to wed Mr. Kusiel
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Green of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Jennifer Beth, to
David Bruce Kusiel, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Peter J. Kusiel of Atlanta.
Miss Green is the granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Gordon
of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs.
Ruth Green of Rahway, N.J. Mr.
Kusiel is the grandson of Mrs.
Hannah Schmeirof Fort Lauderdale,
and Mrs. Gertrude Kusiel of Flushing,
N.Y.
The bride-elect graduated from
Emory University with a bachelor
of business administration degree
in accounting. She was a member
of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority.
She is employed by the accounting
firm of Laventhol and Horwath in
Atlanta.
The future bridegroom also
graduated from Emory University
with a bachelor of business admini
stration degree in accounting. He
was a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi
Fraternity and the co-captain of
Emory’s tennis team. He is employed
by the accounting firm of Touche
Ross in Atlanta.
A June 21, 1986, wedding is
planned.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey L. Cohen
of Montgomery, Ala., announce
the engagement of their daughter,
Ellen, to David Davenport, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Dill of Napa,
Calif., and the late Byron Davenport,
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of Mrs. Celia Farb of
Houston, and the late A. C. Farb,
and the late Jake and Anna Cohen
of Atlanta. She graduated from
Georgia State University.
The future bridegroom is associated
with Kinder-Care Learning Centers
in San Francisco, and is a graduate
of North Dakota University.
The wedding is planned for April
1986 in Atlanta.

Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Levy of
Augusta announce the marriage of
their daughter, Terri Faye, to Steven
Michael Winter, son of Mark Winter
and Mrs. Hertzel (Sandi) Matusow
of Atlanta.
The ceremony was performed
Sunday, Nov. 24, at Adas Yeshuron
Synagogue in Augusta, with Rabbi
Maynard Hyman officiating.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. Matron of honor
was the bride’s sister-in-law, Marisa
Levy of Augusta. Bridesmaids were
Jill Fishman of Atlanta, step-sister
of the bridegroom; Ginny Hurst
and Jody Kresch of Atlanta; Sheryl
Jacobs of Wilmington, Del., and
Marcy Tanenbaum of Atlanta,
cousins of the bride; Ellen Shayman
of Chicago, Stacy Oldham of
Augusta, and Helen Weinberger of
Augusta.
The bridegroom’s father was his
son’s best man. Groomsmen were
Martin Tanenbaum of Savannah,
the bride’s cousin; Mark Fishman
of Atlanta, the bridegroom’s step
brother; Dr. Robert Winter of Dallas,
Texas, the bridegroom’s brother;
Ellis Firestone and Kip Morton of
Atlanta; Gary Spiegel of Englewood,
N.J.; and Joseph Levy and Stephen
Levy of Augusta, the bride’s brothers.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii,
the couple will live in Atlanta.
