Jill Lori Kaplan marries Alan Scott Bach
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Bach
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Kaplan of
Atlanta announce the marriage of
their daughter, Jill Lori, to Alan
Scott Bach, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Bach of Atlanta. The cere
mony took place Sept. 8 at Shearith
Israel Synagogue, with Rabbi Judah
Kogen officiating.
Maid of honor was Toby
Tenebaum. Bridesmaids were Lori
Bach, sister of the bridegroom,
Marlene Bach, sister-in-law of the
bridegroom, Stacy Beskind and
Meg Peader. Jean Shure was junior
bridesmaid. The bride’s book was
kept by Lynne Aronson and Debbie
Baker.
The bridegroom’s brother, Neal
Bach, was best man. Groomsmen
were Lance Kaplan, brother of the
bride, Neil Chakoff, Brian Kahn
and Brad Maras.
The bride is the granddaughter
of Isadore Natkoff of Atlanta and
the late Mrs. Ida Natkoff, and Mr.
and Mrs. Murray Kaplan of Miami
Beach. She received a bachelor of
science degree in engineering, cum
laude, from Duke University and is
a research engineer for the Georgia
Tech Research Institute.
The bridegroom is the grandson
of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fishman of
Atlanta and the late Mrs. Ida
Lobel-Beton
Mr. and Mrs. David Lobel of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Vicki Lorraine,
to Robert Beton, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Sol Beton of Atlanta.
Miss Lobel is the granddaughter
of Mrs. Celia Lobel and the late
Louis Lobel, and the late Mr. and
Mrs. Emanuel Rohald.
Mr. Beton is the grandson of
Mrs. Juana Habib of Atlanta and
the late Behor Habib, and the late
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beton.
The bride-elect‘attended Santa
Fe College and is associated with
Rich’s.
The future bridegroom graduated
from Emory College, where he was
a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He
will graduate from Emory University
School of Medicine this spring.
A June wedding is planned.

Mrs. Nathan Bach. He is an honor
graduate of the Georgia Institute
of Technology with a bachelor of
science degree in electrical engineering
Benjamin-Appel
Dr. and Mrs. Philip Benjamin of
St. Petersburg, Fla., announce the
engagement of their daughter, Caren
Beth, to Laurence B. Appel, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Appel of
Atlanta.
Miss Benjamin is the grand
daughter of Leon Haliczer and the
late Lillie Haliczer, and the late
Mae and Joseph Benjamin, all of
St. Petersburg.
Mr. Appel is the grandson of
Helen Feinberg of Atlanta and the
late Max Feinberg, and the late
Dr. Murray and Ruth Appel of
Hallendale, Fla.
The bride-elect received her
bachelor of arts degree from the
University of Florida. She is a sales
manager at the Atlanta Hilton Hotel.
The future bridegroom is a
graduate of t he U niversity of Virginia.
and is a test equipment engineer
with Hayes Microcomputer Products
Inc. in Norcross.
The couple honeymooned in'
California and live in Atlanta.
He is a senior researcher at Cable
News Network.
A June wedding is planned.
Maslia-Austin
Albert M. and Isabelle Maslia of
Atlanta announce the engagement
of their daughter, Alisa, to Scott
D. Austin of Washington, D.C.,
son of Richard and Florence Austin
of Wilmington, Del.
Miss Maslia is the granddaughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Morris A. Maslia
of Atlanta, and the late Isadore
Sirota and Rose Sirota Tuck.
The bride-elect received a
bachelor’s degree in the admini
stration of justice from the American
University and a law degree from
the University of Georgia in 1984.
She practices law at the Washington,
D.C., branch office of the Chicago
law firm of Seyfarth, Shaw, Fair-
weather and Geraldson.
Mr. Austin received a bachelor’s
degree in business administration
from the University of Delaware
and a law degree from Georgetown
University Law Center in 1979. He
is a trial attorney with the United
States Department of Justice in
Washington, D.C.
An Aug. 24, 1986 wedding is
planned.
