BBW planning chapter
for Lenox Square area
B’nai B'rith Women is forming a
new Day Time Chapter for Lenox
Square and surrounding areas. In
Atlanta, the group is involved in all
aspects of community service from
"Operation Stork” which supplies
layettes as an incentive for mothers-
to-be to seek prenatal care, to
working more closely with senior
adults. The B'nai B’rith Women
Children’s Home in Israel, a modern
residential treatment center for the
rehabilitation of emotionally dis
turbed boys, is a permanent project
of B’nai B’rith Women ofthe United
States and Canada.

Service at V.A. Hospital
will honor four chaplains
On Sunday, Feb. 2. a Four
Chaplains Memorial Service will
be held at the Veterans Hospital on
Clairmont Road in memory ofthe
four chaplains who gave up their
life jackets to four other servicemen
when the U.S. Dorchester was sunk
by the Germans.
Chaplains participating in the
service will be the head chaplain of
the V.A. Hospital, Chaplain Day;
a priest, another Protestant chaplain
and Rabbi Marvin Richardson.
The service will be held in the
second floor recreation hall and
the public is invited.

Cuban refugee to speak
on Holocaust and his art Beth Jacob Sisterhood
plans musical luncheon
Atlanta artist Mario Petrirena,
once a refugee himself, will display
his sculpture on the Holocaust
then discuss his understanding of
the Holocaust and oppression.
Petrirena received his master of
fine arts degree from the Rochester
1 nstitute of Technology for A merican
Craftsmen.
This program, which is part of
the weekly Speaker on Sunday
Adult Education program, will take
place 10 a.m Sunday, Feb. 9 at The
Temple. Coffee and sweets w ill be
served from 9:30-10 a.m.
The public is invited. Baby sitting
is available for children two to six.

formed for the Israeli army and for
four years was a broadcaster for
Kol Yisroel.

Happy birthday, Chaim
Epstein School third and fourth grade students join their
teacher, Hed\a Wiener, in wishing Chaim Nachman Bialik,
famous Hebrew poet, a happy 112th birthday. Children memorized
and recited Bialik poems and songs in a schoolwide assembly and,
of course, ate birthday cake.
