Women has rescheduled a member
ship coffee canceled because of
inclement weather. The coffee, part
of B’nai B’rith Women’s “Make the
Connection” membership campaign,

Issachar Katzir Feb. 19
lssachar Katzir, consul general
of Israel, will speak at the monthly
dinner meeting of B’nai B’rith Gate
City Lodge #144 to be held at the
Steak & Ale, Buford Highway,
N.E., at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday,
Feb. 19.
Katzir’s topic will be “Terrorism:
Can it Happen Here?”

ORT chapter's meeting
to feature Ms. Ashkinaze
The North Suburban Chapter of
Women’s American ORT will meet
at Daniel’s, 128 East Andrews Drive,
at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18. Carole
Ashkinaze, editorial writer for the
Atlanta Journal-Constitution will
highlight the program. Beth Gluck
will give a short talk on her ex
periences during a recent visit to
the Soviet Union.
A light luncheon will be served.

The Evening Branch of the
National Council of Jewish

of self-protection and crime-
prevention.

Heart-care course to be
offered for senior adults
Any Senior with high blood
pressure or heart problems is invited
to attend a nine-week health educa
tion program led by a registered
nurse from Emory University, from
1-2 p.m. Thursdays, which started
Feb. 13 and runsthrough April 19,
at the AJCC/Peachtree.
Participants will learn to detect
risk factors in relation to diet,
stress, medications, high blood pres
sure, lack of exercise, heredity and
other health problems. The series
will provide coping and stress
reduction techniques in group
discussion forms.
Reservations are $5 for members,
$10 for non-members. Call the

make reservations.
The next Ahavath Achim Singles
Shabbat Dinner will take place at
6:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, at the
