Epstein School singers serenade lodge sponsors

community service director and president respectively of Kehillah Lodge. Both lodges sponsored the
recent performance of Ahavath Achim's Epstein School Choir for the Shalom Unit’s monthly meeting at

JFS will offer family life workshop
Jewish Family Services will hold
five family life workshops in April
and May, at a time convenient to
most participants. Sharing com
mon problems and experiences,
rather than going through difficult
times alone, can be very helpful.
How To Plan For The Present
And The Future —For persons
contemplating retirement who
want to discuss this new phase of
life for themselves and their
families.
The Single Parent Experience--
For single parents and their child-
ren. Understand how
feeling better about yourself will
improve your relationship with
your child. A simultaneous work
shop will be held where activities
and games will help children cope
with the impact of the change in
their families.

Purim Seudah March 25
Congregation Beth Jacob will
hold its Purim Seudah XVII on
Tuesday. March 25. A social hour
at 4:30 p.m. will be followed by
dinner at 5:30. Costume dress is
preferred.
Cost is S10 per adult member, $5
for children 1 2 and under; $ 14 per
adult non-member. S6 a child.
Reservations can be made by
March 19.
Temple Kol Emeth plans
Purim carnival March 30
Temple kol F.meth’s sisterhood
and brotherhood will hold their
second annual Purim carnival
from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday,
March 30, at the Mt. Bethel Com
munity Center, at the corner ol
Lower Roswell Road and Johnson
Ferry Road.
There will be games, a costume
contest, face painting, cake walk,
lood and pony rides. For more

by Reform Jewish Gators
Reform Jewish Gators of the
University of Florida invite
students from Georgia schools to a
spring retreat getaway, April 4-6,
at J. Reitz Student Union,
Gainesville, Fla.

AJCC Seniors to hold
Purim Prom March 26
The AJCC Senior Adult De
partment will sponsor a Purim
Prom for all senior citizens in the
community from 7-9 p.m. Wed
nesday, March 26, at the AJCC/
Peachtree.
The project was the suggestion
of AJCC first vice president
Harold Jacobs, to honor the
memory of his mother, Esther
Jacobs.
From start to finish, this is a
Senior Adult project. The gym will
be decorated as in Shushan of old.
There will be prizes for the most
authentic and creative costumes.
Eli Frisch will provide music from
the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s.
Cost is $3 a person. For more

Beth Shalom Sisterhood
to hold Purim Carnival
Beth Shalom Sisterhood will
hold a Purim Carnival at noon
Sunday, March 23, at St. Pius
High School, 2674 Johnson Road.
The carnival will feature lunch
at noon, games from 12:15 to 3
p.m. and raffles beginning at 2:30.
A costume parade is also planned.
Beth Shalom also plans an out
ing to the play, “A Shayna Mai-
del,” at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 19,
with dessert at the synagogue af
terwards. Tickets and dessert are
$18 a person. Ticket only is $14.

Shearith Israel will hold
Purim carnival March 23
Congregation Shearith Israel
will host a Purim carnival from
10:30 a.m.-I p.m. Sunday, March
23, at the synagogue. The entire
family can enjoy games, prizes and
face painting.
A hot dog lunch will be served,
and there will be a bake sale.
