Andrea Moret of Atlanta
recently received her bachelor
of science degree in adver
tising from the University of
Florida College of Journalism
and Communications.
She was selected to Kappa
Tau Alpha, the honorary
National Society for Scholastic-
Excellence in the Field of
Communications and was in
the upper 10 percent of her
class.
Andrea is the daughter of
Jennie and Macy Moret.

Dr. Richard Handelsman has
been awarded a National En
dowment for the Humanities
fellowship to study at Welles
ley College in Boston.
Dr. Handelsman teaches gifted
children at Lithia Springs High
School. A National Merit Scholar
and magna cum laude graduate
of Princeton University, he has
twice been system STAR teacher,
twice instructor in Georgia’s
Governor’s Honors Program,
and three times a reader of
Advanced Placement Examina
tions for the College Board.
Paul D. Clein has been selected
for membership in Phi Beta Kappa
honor society at the University of
Georgia.
Paul will receive his undergrad
uate degree in June and will begin
studies at the Medical College of
Georgia in the fall.
He is the son of Robert and Dian
Clein of Atlanta. 1
Roberta Lynne Davis a biol
ogy major in the honors pro
gram at Sophie Newcomb Col
lege, Tulane University, New
Orleans has been included on
the Dean’s List for the first
semester of the 1985-86 aca
demic year. She has been in
ducted into the Alpha Lambda
Delta and the Phi Eta Sigma
honor societies.
A 1985 graduate of North
Springs High School, Roberta
is the daughter of Frederick and
Etta Davis of Sandy Springs.
James A. Kaufmann, M.D.,
an Atlanta internist and presi
dent of the Kaufmann Diagnos
tic Clinic, was chosen speaker
of the House of Delegates of the
Medical Association of Geor
gia at its recent annual meeting
in Callaway Gardens.
Kaufmann was installed for a
three-year-term. Previously, he
served as vice speaker and is the
legislative chairman for the
organization, a position he has
held for many years.

Atlanta announce the birth of a
son, Steven Irwin, on April 17.
Grandparents are Tillieand Albert
Tenenbaum of Atlanta, and Joanne
and Lee Marks of Hollywood, Fla.
Great-grandmothers are Mrs.
Lenora Galanti of Atlanta, and
Mrs. Ida Marks of Pompano Beach,
Fla.
Steven was given the Hebrew
name Shmuel Yitzhak in honor of
his maternal and paternal great
grandfathers and great uncle, Isaac
N. Galanti.

nounce the birth of a daughter,
Avery Caller, on May 2.
Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Jaffe of Plantation, Fla.,
and Mrs. Rosalie Caller of Hal
landale, Fla.
She was named after her mater
nal grandfather, Harry Caller.

Birmingham announce the birth of
a son, Brandon Berman, on Feb. I

Ohio. Great-grandmother is Molly

Atlantan Rita Rosinek ( haiken. founder and operator of
North Georgia Hearing Service, has been appointed by Gov. Joe
Frank Harris to serve on the State Board of Examiners for Speech
Pathology and Audiology.
Ms. Chaiken graduated from Emory University’s School of
medicine with a master of medical science degree in both clinical
audiology and education of the hearing impaired. She has served
as audiologist for Fulton County Schools.

ed its menu to include fresh seafood.
Seven Steers will now be serving Snapper,
Grouper, Trout, Blackened Red Fish and Am-

pe to a special sauteed spicey recipe from
the Mediterranean Waters.
These new additions enhance the existing
menu which includes seven different choices
of tender succulent steaks, all of the finest

potato or rice pilaf, a large house salad and
bread. There is also a choice of salads and
sandwiches to suit any taste.
The relaxed atmosphere is a real treat plus
